Very interesting winery, modern production of Tokaj traditional varieties. Our guide, Mr. Balázs was very friendly and professional. We enjoyed amusing tour of old cellar including wine tasting. We were very satisfied

We had a great guided tour led by Balázs who was really helpful. The tour in the cellar - with wine tasting included - is something which is definitaly worth paying for, the tunnels are quite old but are in good shape, and the whole cellar is basically a large labirinth. The wines are also nice, so if you are here, picking up some bottles is recommended. We absolutely enjoyed the experience.

Excellent wines produced in a very mordern winery. The Cellars tour and tasting is engaging and a lot of fun. Aszu is exceptional and worth every penny and trouble to bring home.

We accidentally came across the place 6 years ago. How lucky we were! We are still talking about the amazing wine cellar, the great tasting tour, not to mention the taste of the wine. We are dreaming to go back one day. Hence the review now, just found it on the map.

We tried a wine in Budapest and decided we had to buy some before going home. I sent an email enquiry on buying or shipping to us and 24 hours later we managed to buy a few from a seller in Budapest. Huge thanks to Natalia D who made it possible. Now to enjoy some fantastic Hungarian wine when we get back to Scotland. Kösnömöm

Truly classy experience, even if you are not wine expert. You will taste and learn about local wines, it's so good that you will probably buy a bottle after whole experience. Stuff is really professional and helpful.
If you go to Tokaj region you should definitely stay in Mad!

My friend and I had a really lovely time at Holdvölgy. My friend speaks Hungarian but I only speak a little and our guide, Éva, was really helpful and patient switching between languages effortlessly. We could see the wine production area and we tasted wines while we walked through the cellar system. Such beautiful and well-made wines! Happy to have finally gone there.

Should include into your visit around Tokaj, especially at Mád. I'd prefer visit only Mád if I were you :)

We had a great tour with Évi in the cellars.

They are quite a newcomers in Mád, but the winery, the cellar and the wines are more than impressive. You may find its modern style a bit sterile, but it is well-balanced with great hospitality and a funny, young tour guide. Great experience!

Amazing experience and wine tasting. Strongly recommended for wine lovers. It does not matter if you are a beginner or you have some knowledge about wines - people from Holdvogy will explain everything. Great wine and a great time. True state of art!

By far the most modern winery I've been to in Hungary. Holdvolgy seems to have spared no expense in creating a state of the art facility that perfectly reflects their wines. Winemaker Tamas Gincsai was friendly and understandably very proud as he guided us throughout the site. Of course the huge cellar system was a fun experience in itself, but Holdvolgy's wines are the real stars here.

Their Exaltation is one of the best wines I've had the pleasure of tasting. Don't miss Holdvolgy if you're visiting the Tokaj Wine Region. An absolute must!

Good experience, good wines, worth checking it out, we went here and there in the area, but this one was the best experience around Tokaj. p.s. our guide Fruzsi was nice too, answered all my questions.

Have picked up a few bottles as just passed by, but next time will take on the tasting tour. Was told is available in english and hungarian, with a day in advance booking.

A very Nice tour, with a Nice Guy/guide, and good wines. We had a very good time. Bought Six bottles of wine as well.

Great visit and great wines, even for some one who does not love sweet wines.
