Tavern Arka Restaurant

Food was excellent. The oysters and mussels are from the family’s own farm, delicious and fresh.

The location is scenic, just across the road from the waters’ edge. The restaurant is on the second floor on a covered veranda, it was windy and cool when we were there.

We found the prices reasonable for Dubrovnik.

The staff and owner were friendly, service was excellent too.

Everything was cooked to perfection. Had one plate to share and it was good amount of food for 2. Lovely young waiter has recommended a local grappas - we enjoyed them a lot. Highly recommend this place. Thank you very much. 5 stars 🤩

This won’t be the cheapest dinner for you, but the combinations of good food and excellent service plus unrivalled views makes this a must visit if you’re in the area.

Every table has a great view over the stunning Zaton bay.

A great selection do meat and fish dishes plus some local delicacies.

The waiters are very knowledgable about the local Croatian wine.

Tavern Aria is so lovely. They offer a pickup service from Dubrovnik, so definitely ask about that! The owner himself picked us up and was telling us all about the restaurant and Croatia.

The food is good and not too expensive. It’s not the best food in Dubrovnik, but for what you’re paying, it is an amazing deal.

There is live music, and the view can’t be beat.

You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend!

After reading so many fabulous reviews about Tavern Area we decided to venture a bit further afield from the old city. We were not disappointed! The oysters were amazing and so was the ham and cheese platter served with freshly baked bread. The fish platters just stunning, the squid so tender and the tuna steaks so tasty. This restaurant is all about giving its customers the best experience possible, they think of everything, from the mosquito repellent to the complementary taxi to take you back to your home. The staff is very friendly, especially Gabriel, who gave us a wonderful insight into the most recent Croatian history. What a charming young man, a real asset to the establishment. Thank you for such a wonderful evening, we look forward to coming back soon.

What a great place to eat fresh and tasty food! The Service was amazing, the Staff is friendly and do all to make you fell comfortable and well served. The fish plate for 2 was AMAZING, the wie was delicious...I recommend the restaurant 100%!

Very good Croatian restaurant! I ate at different places in this area and this is one of my favorites. Very good food (appetizer and main dish), perfect wines and not to forget really perfect, friendly and professional service. We come to this area for 20 years and this is definitely a must go for the future. See you soon!

We decided to eat here for our last dinner in Dubrovnik. We order the fish plate for two, which consists of grilled tuna, sea bass, mussels, calamari, prawns, sautéed vegetables and potatoes. The quality of the food was really good, and the amount of food was generous. In total we spent 60€ including water and beer. The waitress was really kind and caring. Definitely recommend and even if it’s a bit outside of Dubrovnik is definitely worth the visit.
Forgot to mention that there’s a small parking, which is really good considering that moving by car in the city has been total hell, and from what I heard they offer a pick up service as well.

Well worth the 20 minute uber from Dubrovnik old city. Try to get there to enjoy an amazing sunset view. Reservations suggested but probably not needed.

Tried the oysters and tuna tartare. Great start.
€120 for 2 of us including 3 glasses of wine and an aperitif. The seafood platter for 2 was tasty, fresh and generous. Nice deserts. Good selection of wines and staff very helpful. Owner came around to check all was satisfactory.
It is located on a busy road but after 10 minutes you don't really notice.

Well worth a visit.

Lovely restaurant with tasty fish specialties. I liked the fish platter, and the octopus salad was also very tasty. The waiter has been exceedingly kind and competent.

We came as 13 people, had some starters, full main courses with meat and fish and desserts.

Fish platter was really good, shared between 2 people. Good and fast service, they even picked us up with a car from our rent villa! Remember to call first when booking table and ask for ride.

Fresh oysters, absolutely brilliant sea bass and nothing bad to say about any of the dishes.

Only thing to mention that medium tuna was closer to well done and they were out of tart dessert.

A beautiful place. Wonderful food and knowledgeable staff. A really special find. Highly recommended. We were lucky to have some lovely live music that really added to the atmosphere without being intrusive.

Been in Dubrovnik for 5 days. Staying at the Bellevue and have had meals there and several other nice places. This was our best meal - by a mile. Service was fast and friendly, food well seasoned and a selection a little different than the typical 5 items you see on every other menu in Dubrovnik menu. What a view! Called ahead for seating and the owner, Peter was very accommodating - even offered a shuttle to and from the restaurant. Who does that?

Excellent view - excellent value. Expect road noise - but your taste buds will soon plug your ears. This place is a must!

PHENOMENAL! What a wonderful experience. This was the best restaurant my husband and I went to in Croatia. We did not have a reservation and they still sat us near the amazing view. There was live music on a Saturday night that was amazing and played beautiful music. The service was impeccable. Not only was our waiter amazing but the other help staff was just as nice and personable. The bathrooms were also super clean.Taverna Arka is my #1 recommendation to go and eat. I recommend the fish platter for two. This restaurant is a must! Go and see for yourself!

Great restaurant with really high quality and friendly service. Lovely views out to sea within a small cove. Good choice of local wine and the food is great - variety of steak cuts, fresh fish and seafood.
