Nikolina and Mateo are wonderful hosts and prepared an amazing dinner for the two of us. Everything they serve is homemade and comes from their own farm (cheese, meat, vegetables, wine, olive oil etc.). We asked for the traditional meal peka and they served us the most tender, juicy meat with homegrown vegetables and salad. Also the dessert - a homade apple strudel tasted very good. They only recently opened their Konoba and you can tell they really enjoy working in tourism and showing people their home and traditions. Highly recommended - just maybe ask for smaller portions as they were huge😅.

This place is simply a gem and you must go if you are in dubrovnik!

Let’s start with the food; All the food is locally sourced and the quantity is huge! We started with little local snacks (dried figs, pecan nuts, candied orange peel) accompanied with 2 different liqueurs. We then had some fried courgettes with homemade butter follow with a massive platter of cured meats (that they cure themselves), cheese and fig jam (again homemade and delicious). After that came the soup made of garden veg followed by the plate of meat and veg cooked under the bell for over 2hours! Finally we had apple struddel and a platter of fruits.
Everything was simply delicious and we just couldnt stop eating despite being overly full!

Next i want to note the hospitality of the owners of this place. They are some of the nicest people you will meet and know very well the story of the place and will share their knowledge not only of the place but also of their food with you! They were very nice with our 10 months old and just made us feel like part of their family. Lovely people and lovely family :)

We will definitely come back for the cooking class for our next visit to dubrovnik!

Amazing experience with traditional food from local produce, majority of products home made. We harvested fresh vegetables that we used to prepare our lunch in a cooking class.

Konoba Stara Kuća was a once in a lifetime experience that we cannot recommend highly enough. My husband and I had a private dinner of traditional Croatian foods which included so many courses of homemade dishes including snacks like candied orange peels, cookies, and liquors; fresh bread, cured meats, cheeses, and fried eggplant; pork and potatoes traditionally prepared under the bell and fresh tomato and pepper salad; dessert; and homemade wine and lemon juice. All the dishes were so fresh, tasty, and unique. We ate so much food and still couldn't finish it all. Nikolina made us feel so welcomed and gave us a tour of the restaurant and garden and introduced us to their farm animals. Her hospitality is unmatched. While we were waiting for our uber, she even brought us fresh cheese they had just made that day. We had the most amazing experience learning about Croatian foods and their preparation. If you're visiting Dubrovnik, this restaurant is a must!

Absolutely amazing experience. Super quaint family business with a great atmosphere.

We were greeted with a drink of local liqueur.
While drinking, the owner gave us a tour of their little farm, from which the ingredients we would later ate, came from.

We were served their white wine, that they do themselves (again, super good).

We then got 6 dishes. Everyone of them were incredible, and very abundant.

This was a precious moment for us.

They like their country, their land, their products and make you discover their traditions.
They are so passionate that they made us visit and taste their products even if the place was closed.

What a lovely place to eat typical Croatian food! The hosts are awesome, very warm and friendly! We had a wonderful time there and the food was very delicious and authentic. It fulfilled all our expectations!

We came by spontaniously. A reservation a day prior is recommended. Nonetheless did we have a truly perfect evening.
After a nice meal with starters, maincourse and desert we got a Tour around the old building.
We can only recommend this lovely tavern.

Topla dobrodošlica domaćina uz razne domaće rakije i proizvode. Više vrsta sireva i suhomesnatih proizvoda koji su stvarno kvalitetni i preukusni. Također, pečenje je bilo izuzetno! Ugodan ambijent u Staroj Kući sa dosta autentičnih predmeta koji vraćaju u prošlost. Vrhunsko domaćinstvo, definitivno ćemo se vratiti!

Diese Konoba ist sehr schön. Die Besitzerin empfängt einem sehr sehr herzlich und man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Man bekommt eine kleine Führung durch das Anwesen und erfährt auch von der Geschichte des Ortes. Dann erhält man einen kleinen Snack und einen Schnaps. Alle Produkte die hier verkostet und verarbeitet werden sind hausgemacht. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen groß.
Das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis ist top.
Die Konoba ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!
Man muss am besten 1 Tag vorher reservieren!

Einfach Wow… wir (9 Personen) haben spontan einen Tag vorher angerufen und es hat geklappt. Wir wurden super herzlich von der Familie empfangen. Uns wurde der Hof vorgestellt und der Eigenbau der Lebensmittel erklärt. Wir hatten das Glück 4 tolle Gänge essen zu dürfen. Es war mega lecker. Alles frisch und traditionell. Auf eigene Wünsche wurde sofort eingegangen. Wir hatten wirklich einen tollen letzten Abend dort. Danke dafür.

Jako lijep domaći ambijent sa dosad najukusnije pripremljenom domaćom hranom. Od predjela sa domaćim sirom i pršutom, šporkih makarula koje su djeca obožavala, pa do preukusnog mesa ispod peke i krumpira koji su se topili u ustima. Svaka preporuka. Mi ćemo se vratit sigurno ♡

une ferme équipée de bovins et ovins fort bien montés, une hote de choc (championne de folklore local), des plats traditionnels comme vous n'en avez jamais vu aux quantité gargantuesques! le godet est toujours plein et les prix sont imbattables ! un lit d'appoint est toujours disponible si vous repartez un peu trop ronds... on recommande fortement !

Accoglienza super, con tanto di grappa offerta e altre pietanze. Servizio impeccabile, gentilissimi sotto ogni aspetto.
Piatti uno più buono dell'altro. Chi viene in questo "ristorante" è sicuro di tornare a casa soddisfatto.

Ein absloutes muss! Die Gastfreundschaft und das Essen sind ausnahmslos vorzüglich! Wir haben es sehr bei der Familie genossen, man merkt das sie Leidenschaftlich dahinter stehen und es von Herzen machen! Wir bedanken uns von ganzem herzen, es war ein echtes Geschmackserlebnis, selten sooo gut gegessen! <3

Wir konnten hier vom feinsten essen.
Von der Familie wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen und das Essen darf man mit gutem Gewissen als ausgezeichnet bezeichnen.
