Best meal and service I've had in Croatia! Wonderful restaurant in lovely setting. The fish based starter and main were fantastic and the waiter service extremely nice and friendly. A understatedly classy place without being pretentious. Very strongly recommended.

Amazing restaurant. So much passion can be felt in the atmosphere and especially in the food. The food was so fresh and creative, my favorite was the black pasta. The lobster had so much flavor. Definitely recommend coming here if you can find a spot. 9.3/10.

What a wonderful find! We ate here several times over the course of a week while we stayed in Zaton. The service was always excellent and friendly. Ivo, our waiter was a lovely person to chat with. This restaurant has a charming small village vibe with an elevated dining experience. Everything we had was incredibly fresh and delicious. They make their pasta fresh in house, I would highly recommend that. The shrimp pasta and mushroom pastas were my favorite, but also the mussels in white wine sauce. We ordered the mussels and watched them pull a netted bag right out of the water by the restaurant where they keep them fresh till someone orders. Also the terrace on the water is such a beautiful place to eat and enjoy one of their delicious local wines.

Amazing place! Has a big choice of food and wine, and everything is very well prepared and delicious. The service is very professional and staff very friendly. The atmosphere is good for a lunch/earlier dinner, it was a bit cold later with all the wind in Zaton. It has yellow lights, candles and cosy atmosphere, open place above the sea, really comfy. Also, the place is historical, and the staff was able to tell us the short story of it, and it is obvious they really cherish this tradition. Even though it's more expensive (prices as Croatia has by the sea), it is definitely worth visiting!

The food is incredible!! Our favorites were the cuttlefish black risotto, scallop carpaccio, tuna tartar, seafood pasta, and the mascarpone desert. Both times we we dined here our server, Ivo, was wonderful. He was attentive, personable, and had great wine recommendations. The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere and beautiful views. It’s worth noting that this place is on the pricier side of Croatian restaurants, but worth it in my opinion! You must come here if you’re in Zaton - make sure to make a reservation.

The homemade pasta with seafood is honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We came back two nights in a row, sitting inside and out and both are stunning and very different experiences. Couldn’t recommend more!

That was the BEST FISH I have EVER eaten at any place, in the world! No exaggeration! My wife and I love to go out and try lots of fancy places and we are lucky to have tried some amazing spots; the night before we were at Pronto in Dubrovnik old city, for instance, an acclaimed restaurant. Yet, the blue fin tuna at Kasar was better than anything we ate there by a mile. The fish was so fresh, juicy, and cooked to perfection on an open flame. But that's not all; the cuttlefish risotto we shared as an appetizer was also excellent and filled with good seafood. We just walked to Zaton from our hotel and randomly tried Kasar because of the nice view of the bay... what a lucky find, and the perfect way to end a trip to Croatia.

Had lunch here, can’t ask for a better experience. Outdoor tables are harbor side, the indoor section is a 5 century old boathouse. All the food was good, the fresh catch prepared on the grill was excellent.

It was one of the best meals I've ever had. That simple.

Happened upon Zaton in an effort to escape Dubrovnik's overcrowded high-priced tourist offerings. And it was indeed a happy happening.

The setting is lovely. We sat outside (22 degrees) over the inlet. The tuna and fish we had was retrieved from a basket hanging in the water. It was cooked on an open grill outside the restaurant.

It was quite simply magnificent. A highlight of a week in Dubrovnik. It was one day in history, but if it was typical I'd recommend it to anyone who loves fantastic food in a beautiful environment. My dory has never been hunkier. Well I had tuna. But you get my drift.

I was here a few weeks ago as a lunch stop on the drive from Split to Dubrovnik. This afternoon has stuck with me for weeks and I know I’ll be back again sometime in the future. The vibes and views are unmatched. The area is so quiet and peaceful, and the food at Konoba was delicious and made with care. The cuttlefish risotto was truly a special dish. Briefly met the owners and they were such wonderful people, and our waiter was so well-mannered and kind!

Came here after reading about the restaurant in a guide of best restaurants in the area and SO pleased we did.

Everything is perfection - the setting, the food, the service. Cannot recommend highly enough.

You must try the black risotto. Whilst every restaurant in the area claims its their speciality, this one truly is special.

The Selection of fish depends on the catch of the day but we had an incredible grilled tuna and a wonderful fish platter.

For wine we went with the recommendation of the host and were not disappointed. Overall we had 2 starters, 3 mains (incl the fish platter which is more expensive), one dessert and a bottle of wine for 3 people and it was approx 1200kn.

Make sure you make this a stop on your trip. Currently quiet so you may get the restaurant to yourselves like we did but in usual circumstances, booking advised.

I’ve spent a lot of time in Croatia and Kasar is a restaurant that I will not forget. The food was incredible. From the wine, to the appetizers, to the entrees, to dessert, everything was spectacular. Everything is freshly made and full of so much flavour. The location is beautiful and the service outstanding. A big thank you to Ivan for looking after us and ensuring we had the best dining experience. I will recommend this place to anyone who asks and I will be back! Superb!

The finest restaurant in Zaton, book two days in advance during peak season.

10/10 would highly recommend. Lovely service, incredible food and a great vibe all round. The waiters are very friendly who know there stuff especially with the wine menu. We have been lucky enough to eat here 3 nights in a row trying something new every night. Every dish is prepared with a perfect match of flavours. Some of my personal favourites: home made pasta, ribeye steak, bluefin tuna Tartare, smoke ham (Serrano style but smoked instead of cured and smoked Ben better!).

If you are in the area I would recommend booking a table for dinner or lunch as this is a truly wonderful location and resturant.
