Konoba Bokun, Petrovija

We were on the way to Umag and got into a rain shower and found one of the best restaurants in Croatia. The food is very tasty and from the price performance ratio very good. The staff speaks very good English and helped us to choose the food.
It is a real recommendation to come here. Gladly we will come again!

The Bokun is a really really nice restaurant in a beautiful location with an excellent cuisine. Due to its popularity it is recommended to reserve a table upfront. All staff speaks English very well and the menu is a mediterranean highlight with a wide range of meat and fish or seafood variations. Me and my wife chose a starter and a main dish each. The Malvasia house wine from CUJ was excellent. The cooking took some time but waiting 20 - 30 minutes was definitely worth it. Upfront we were surprised by small greetings from the kitchen - thank you! The quality of the food was excellent and the portion size was more than sufficient. My tartar was very fresh and the sea food risotto was the best I've ever had. The waiter was very friendly and took good care of us. Prices are a bit higher than in a typical restaurant of Umag area but it's a very good deal if you enjoy good quality food and a nice location for dinners. We definitely recommend the Bokun and will gladly be their guests again.

There are restaurants, in which we wonder how they get such a high rating ... And then there are special places like this one, which TOTALLY DESERVES the 4.9 stars. Actually deserves 5 stars. What a perfect evening. Service 5*, food 5*, atmosphere 5*. Honestly, cannot recommend it any higher. Even the prices were fair. Such a wonderful place, serving wonderful meals. Thank you!!
Ps. The truffel pasta is the kind of food you will dream of years later.

Had to visit again, when we had the pleasure of enjoying a beautiful evening with live music. We have chosen their “Bokun” plate as our starter, a perfect mix of small bites. On the fish menu is only the daily fresh catch, in our case we had the Bream, prepared with mixed vegetables. Perfectly seasoned and portioned.

Excellent food, excellent service and cosy atmosphere
We had dinner at Bokun with a Pax 4 and we all loved it. This was 2 years ago and we come back here ever since. The place is amazing, almost magical. It feels like sitting in an impressive garden painting. The food is delicious, the flavors are incredible, super fresh and you feel how determined the friendly staff is to make your experience an unforgettable one. I totally recommend this place for all lovers of authentic Istrian food. Reservation recommended.

Nice restaurant with somewhat shy servers, but great food cooked over live fire. The place is not so nice as some rustic restaurants nearby, but have a lovely garden. Would return for more food goodies.

The restaurant was really good, the waiters were young and extremely helpful and forthcoming. The owner is one of the youngest owners in the region with very creative ideas and delicious food.

What a fantastic restaurant! One of the best in Umag and its surroundings. The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. Very cozy ambiance, and we had a great time dining there a couple of times. The owner Robert is a lovely person, I cannot recommend Bokun enough. I will recommend this restaurant to my friends in Denmark! Hope to see you soon again! 😊

Setup is great and relaxing, food is great especially entree and main. Lots of choices and is not so touristy like in town. Wine Menu is manly local. Staff is friendly and speaks english .
During summertime it’s best to make a reservation.

We visited Konoba Bokun just yesterday and it was absolutely brilliant.
Food was stunning visually and delicious. We ordered fish and it was prepared beautifully, both the appetizer and the main dish. The service is top notch, very friendly and professional - our waiter offered recommendations and answered all our questions about food (plus a sightseeing hint :). All this in a pleasant atmosphere, encouraging to relax and enjoy the food. I highly recommend the place, and when we have the opportunity, we will for sure come back.
