Cozy family restorant with delicious dishes and friendly owner. Recommended place to visit in Makarska. Good home wine and liquor as a present was a nice finish of our dinner.

The food was so delicious, and service was excelent too. They even gave us a bowl with a water and a slice of lemon to clean our hands.
Overall really great local experience. The owner of the restaurant was really nice, he made sure that everything was allright.
At the end of our dinner, he gave us their sweet wine and lemoncello for free.
Meal for 2 with the bevarages for 46€ and we were full

One of the best restaurants I have ever visited. The food is very fresh and absolutely delicious. Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I totally loved the service and the owner is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality! The homemade olive oil and the cherry liquor will knock your socks off! Legitimately the best restaurant around!

The service was absolutely outstanding and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the seafood and fish. The owner is the most welcoming person in Croatia, taking care of the guests like no other. If you are looking for a great dinner experience in Makarska this is the place to go.

You get started with home made bread and olive oil from the owners own garden. A tasty appetizer and delicious fish/steak dishes are accompanied by a great selection of home made wines. All in all a great experience, a charming owner and a wonderful dinner. Would gladly dine here again.

I arrived at the restaurant with no place to park.  A gentleman actually moved his wife's car to allow me a place to park.

He offered some homemade bread.  I have not been a fan of the bread with olive oil as it seems to dry to me.  I apologized to him for getting some honey I bought on the side of the road. He said the honey was no good but gave me some thick, dark, full flavored honey to try.  He opened a fresh bottle for me! Indeed it was three times better.

But the best bread combination by far was eating the grilled cheese with honey over the bread.  I doubt that was how it was intended but it was amazing. It just melted in my mouth and was absolute deliciousness.

I ate the seafood risotto  with the house white and it was delicious.  Calamari, mussels and a jumbo shrimp in a red sauce.

I ordered the Dalmatian rump steak to end with the house red.  The steak was cooked perfectly, paired well with the house red and the sides were delicious as well.  I wish the steak knife were sharper.

The presentation of the food was nice, the staff was attentive quickly replacing silverware and small touches like a napkin wrapped around the container for the wine so it would not drip on the table.  The ambiance was perfect. It was a family friendly environment and it felt rustic. Beautiful patio.

The gentleman who helped me seemed to run the place.  He was busy, worried but was making sure customers were happy.  It looks like a family run restaurant.

There are certain meals I just get a feeling for, somehow knowing it will not be beaten.  I doubt I will experience a meal as delightful during the rest of my stay in Croatia.

To end things, the gentleman insisted I try one of his port wines for dessert.

One last thing, although I did not make a reservation, I suggest doing so.

Extremely friendly staff that makes your meal become a long lasting feast!!! This oldtimer rocks!!! Food was delicious and full of flavour souce. Home made wine was really light taste but strong. I do recommend the duck in orange souce and for fish lovers the this place offers the wide range of selection. You will have a good time for sure:)

Ordered the fish plate and everything on it was delicious, loved the shrimp, calamari and the tuna steak was bomb. The best food i had in Makarska so far. The prices are good for the area too, especially compared to other places

Awesome dinner with really good price. 2 person and we ordered: one starter (honey chess), tuna steak and one seafood pasta. With 2, bottle of water. Everything per 280kn (38€ aprox).

If you are in Makarska, Restoran Don Antonio is a must. It is not just great food, it is a whole experience. Try Riblja plata (sea food plate). And the owner, mr. Antonio, is the best host. 🙂

Highly recommended! Such a welcoming place. The manager is very nice and the personnel is very thoughtful also. I had seafood risotto which was absolutely delicious, great diversity of seafood, the house wine is very affordable and really refreshing (just as You wish after a long day of sunbathing) Great job!!!

I took a three courses even I was done after two. It was Just to good.
I had truffle ravioli as someone suggested oh soo good. Than Steak with gorgonzola sauce ahh since this was soo good I went for dessert. Pana cota with fruits. Make a Reservation :) I make one.

During the whole trip to Croatia, out of the large number of restaurants we visited, this one was the most amazing. the hospitality and sincerity of this institution has no boundaries, complementing it all with indescribably delicious food, beautiful serving, attention to each client.
I would like to wish you, as a restaurant, more satisfied customers.
