Osejava Forest Park

Best place to visit near Makarska. Osejava offers beautiful paths that lead to amazing spots all around the peninsula. Magical forest with a hidden gem called Nugal beach.

Very nice place for a short walk in the nature - it is an easy track however you can take beautiful pictures. I would recommend you to come here before sunset so you can see it from above, it is breathtaking, you will enjoy it for sure. After the sun is set down, you still have like 30 minutes to go back to the city - during the night I donw recommend to go without flashligh because of rocky road it could be dangerous. Definitely if you come here, come in hiking shoes or at least running shoes - definitely not in “slippers” (you would regret doing so)

A really nice place to walk, have a sightseeing and swimming from the rocks. You can enter the park conveniently by parking near Kaufmann supermarket and going behind it to the start of the path. Bring footwear relevant for the mountain jogging as trails can be quite rocky sometimes. Don't forget to visit the hilltop for a most beautiful sights on Makarska and the Nugal beach

Osejava Park. Croatia.

Makarska Bay is formed on one side by the peninsula of St. Peter and on the other by the rocky Osejava Park. You can climb up to it by a stone staircase near the grotto, which houses a nightclub located behind the hotel of the same name. The park offers stunning views of the bay and the city. Here you can watch sunsets in the evenings or watch the departing ships in the mornings. There are several paths in the park in the direction of Makarska-Tucepi, one of which leads along the very edge of the coast and leads to the nudist beach Nugal.

The beach is surrounded on all sides by high cliffs, and in its center there is a small forest with benches and glades for resting. There is a lot of space, the entrance to the water is gentle, the pebbles are large, the water is clean and clear. Although there are FKK markings everywhere, the crowd here is mixed and the textile wearing people are treated with patience. If you go here (and it's one of the best beaches on the Macarska Revere and worth a visit), be aware that the entrance is only on one side, and to get around it, you'll have to go back through the forest to avoid the cliff. Yes, also there are not enough toilets, although there is an improvised garbage can. But the beach is very clean - naturists love nature.

You can follow the paths of the park to Tučepi, or turn to the sea again and find a couple of small rocky beaches with very clear water and small pebbles - Solarić and Kraljev Gaj. But even here you are likely to come across nudists. However, this does not embarrass anyone and different people swim here too.

The park itself is a pine forest with a lot of rocks, between which there are walking paths. There are quite a few athletes running and cycling along them. There are benches along all the paths for resting. However, be careful on the one that runs along the shore - it is not flat everywhere, in some places there are difficult sections and a lot of sharp stones. But it is the most picturesque.

Great hiking path trail. The panoramic views are fantastic and on a good day, you have the whole trail to yourself. Runnable if you are trail runner. Various photo stops made available as well.

It's a nice place to take a walk. You can take a look at the town and make some nice pictures any time of the day. Visited this place a few times. It would be nice if you can take a walk during the day and another one when night comes. The night view is very nice, it's quiet and you can see half the city and the harbor. It's a good place to take some night photos.

Amazing place for relaxing or hiking. Spectacular views and fresh and salty air. It's a relaxing place, and wonderful to visit. Bring your own water while hiking. Proper shoe wear is a must. The trails are prepped but I would recommend hiking shoes or trail shoes.

I was so surprised about this park. Was waiting Makarska and all of a sudden I found this park. It is so beautiful. It has different level tracks, some are bigger, but some are small and cosy along the cliff. Next time I will stay in Makarska just because of this park, because it quite big, and it will take some hours to walk it all around. Highly recommended.

If you can spare some time during your stay in Makarska then make sure to take a small walk around. The walkway trough the park takes you to Tucepy, which as also very nice beach so don't be lazy, have a go and enjoy the scenery! This way u get also to the nudistic beach...so it's a must see place too :)

Great place for walking, swimming and photography. From Makarska to Nugal (nudist beach, but not only) is about one hour calm walk with taking some pictures.

I highly recommend to get there to see all the amazing views around - mountains and the beautiful sea are breathtaking. You can get there from 2 sides.

Amazing hike in the park that can end with a refreshing swim in the Nugal beach. One of the best places to see when visiting Makarska if you are into nature and wild beaches.

This is a really nice park to walk in and you have different spots to chill out.
You also need to see the beautiful viewpoint of Nugal beach.

Loved it! Morning walk, smell of the forest mixed with smell of the sea. Peacefull way of starting the day. Dont miss it. Everything is clearly marked.

Really a fantastic little spot, so peaceful and we walked along the path onto the top of the hill and you have some amazing views

Real mediterranean forest, smell of pine trees everywehere, nice birds on the trees. Definitely must see!
