Beach bar Mavra

Great place to have a drink or/and a bite. The tuna sandwich is delicious, as is the Spritz. Prices are okay, atmosphere is great and staff is nice.

We were not expecting to find a place like that.

Very quiet when we were there, nice to relax, have couple of drinks maybe read a book and send the kids to the water in safety!

One of the best bars on the island for sure. Great atmosphere, awesome music, great view, delicious food and fast service. No complains from my side. A must visit during the summer season.

Beach bar Mavra is a best place to be when you are in Zadar sea area. It is located in Kali, just 15 minutes by boat from Zadar. The owner and the local people are very friendly, and every customer leaves the place happy and satisfied. If you like Ibiza (or Zrće) than this is maybe not your kind of place, as it is more warm and calm. Now, if you are wondering about the reviews on Google, it is clean 5 star recommendation, but as I can see it is not because: a guy came on a vacation - stayed there for several days and on 10.08. when it is St. Lovre day (a local church patron holiday and fiesta), people had a party (as they usual do for like 100 years) - this guy asked his instagram followers (it is a luck he has only a couple :) )to write some bad reviews of the place, because the music was too loud... Well it is what modern guest can do to you, and it is simply not fair...but what can you do. There are people like that among us. It is rediculous. Besides that there are a several food critics. People: you must understand when you are visiting a BEACH BAR it is not a restaurant, it is not about food. You have snacks. And you eat only because you don't wanna search for a restaurant, when you are just fine in a nice ambient like Mavra. That's why they serve fast food, and some delicious (cold) sea food. IT IS A SNACK - not a dinner. If you want dinner, you have 50 m ahead Gugulo restaurant - or every restaurant on the island available. The thing is: visit before you create your opinion. It aplies to all restaurants, bars and places that are rated on Google. Do not fall for people who don't have a life influence. Regards to all, and see you in Kali. Cheers.

Lovely location next to the sea and friendly staff who work really hard. It is nice to sit and have a drink and watch the world go by. Also great ice cream served here, you must try the ice cream in Croatia, I don't know how they make it but it is delicious, maybe gelato.

Loved this bar. Slightly end of of season feel but still good. Would have loved to have come here earlier in the month and had some dinner

Very cool place right on the beach. You can even have drinks in the sea! Food is great, best hamburgers and cheeseburgers in Kali... And their fries are some of the best I ever had, very nicely done and crunchy. Sometimes in the evenings they extend the bar, there are street parties and street food: grilling fish and calamari, cheap gemisht.

Cool place to hang around. They have their own kitchen so fast food next to the beach with good music and cocktails is always fun. Young staff and very helpful , very popular place to hang out during the day or in the evening.

Great waterside bar , stairs from the deck into the sea for a swim , lively friendly place , not expensive but only small beers , but the wine is great at 20kuna a glass = €2:75 . highly recommended .

Secluded beach bar (in early June) on the island of Ugljan. To get there, it is a 30 minute ferry ride with Jadrolinija from Zadar and then 30 minute walk south along the coast. Affordable beers and beautiful view! There are steps leading down into the water for easy swimming and a dock to lay out on. There is also a “beach” nearby which looked rocky. They do have a kitchen but it was not open until the late afternoon.

Best bar on the island. Wish we had found it earlier on our holiday. We travelled from preko to kali often just for this bar.

If you want to grab a cheeseburger or a cocktail while sitting at a table half-submersed in the water, I highly recommend it. There are tables outside of the water too, but that's so ordinary...
