Excellent food. We got the fish tasting menu and the meat tasting menu with the wine tasting and everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Even the bread was really good. The location is secluded and beautiful, and the staff is polite and accommodating. We will for sure be back the next time we’re in Umag!

Beautiful place and even more beautiful food! Fresh sea specialtes and various pasta dishes if you prefer something light. Deserts are different then most of the restaurants in Istria, try them all!

Great food in a typical Istrian "Konoba" ambient. The weitress was very friendly and explained us what they offer today, there was no menu, he just explained us what fresh stuff they offer and what he is suggesting.
We tried mixed fish plate and daily soup for starter. The main course was "brancin" fish fillet that was perfectly done with vegetables asside and other main course was "biftek with truffles" a rare grilled stake that was sorrounded with truffles souce. Everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend biftek with truffles, that was one of the best I tried.

The portions are not to big nor to small, food presentation is nice. The dessert was a pistachio souffle with Ice cream, that was OK, could try also something else next time.

We were drinking sparkling wine for starter and local white wine, both very good.
The prices are fair and will definitely come again.

Konoba is supposed to be a simple restaurant in Croatia…this one isn’t. All dishes were perfect, wine (the house wine btw) was awesome too…service brilliant and the olive oil just a dream. Don’t go there just to eat…

Really top class place with very professional service, excellent food presentation and nice ambient. We had fish and meat plates with different stuff which was simply delicious. Homemade olive oil, oh my! After that everyone ordered main dish and nobody was leaving the place unhappy. I had typical Istrian pasta with scallops (Pljukanci sa jakobovim kapicama).

Staff were excellent - friendly, accommodating, multilingual and tolerant of our family (even when we turned up with very young children without a midday reservation). Prosciutto and truffle cheese on our meat and cheese board appetizer were extraordinary, other dishes (fish pasta, grilled veal with mashed potatoes and grilled pork steak for kids) were all very good and perfectly prepared if not exceptional. The sauce in particular on veal was nice and loved the sautéed onions (which were used in the sauce) were mixed into the mashed potatoes for a nice pairing to the meat and with depth of flavor. Would like to have tried the lamb (need to order this ahead, unfortunately for us), grilled fish (which looked and smelled amazing, but would have to go back another time for these.

Unique place for freshly prepared meals. Truffle pasta, meat, and fish were all fresh and delicious. Jakovska Kapica (considered one of the best shellfish on the market) was grilled in the wood burning oven next to the table. Great selection of local wines. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere.

Absolutely 5/5. Every single part of the experience was absolutely worth it. Value for money, definitely one of the best in Istria. We had the menus, fish and meat, wouldn't change a thing. Coming again.

Buščina is our top choice around Umag. Everything is perfect - from the starters to the desserts, along with the atmosphere. They make their own olive oil and were one of the first restaurants that started offering Istrian beef (boskarin) on the menu.

Z eno besedo super. It is always good, this time it was even better. Soup really was great. And service is as always superb.

The price/quality ratio is good. Hardly wait to revisit this beautiful and delicious restaurant. We had a tuna tartar, fuži with truffles and boškarin sous vide. And excellent walnut liqueur for degistive.

This restaurant is one hidden treasure of Istria. This. Is. Real. Good! The ambiance is of high class, but the playground next to the terras makes it easy to take your child(ren) with you. The food... The food is of very high quality. Tasteful is not enough to describe what magic they do with flavors. The service is great. Oh and my 4 girls LOVED the chocolate desert, so leave some space in your belly for it

We had great lunch, perfect steaks, salad very fresh,warm bread, desert top and great stuff, just PERFECT (for dinner time best call 2-3 days before because it's overbooked 😊
