Maguro Restaurant & Sushi Bar

Very authentic, very Japanese, very tasty. Ordered Vege Dan Dan Noodles which was surprisingly very hot & spicy and came with a huge portion. Vege Poke was also delicious but small portion and extremely expensive.

Great Asian restaurant in the old part of Zadar. Everything we've tried was really good (Tom Kha Gai soup, Edamame, Pad Thai), and the Korean fried chicken was amazing, one of the best dishes I've tried in any Asian fusion restaurant. Service was polite and ambience is really nice too.

I had tuna steak (delicious) and my partner had Korean fried chicken (he loved it) 🥰 We also shared some spicy edamame and sushi rolls and everything was delicious. The waiter was also very friendly. I would recommend this place when in Zadar.

We had fantastic food at Maguro. We had the Korean Fried Chicken and the Kung Pao Pork which was absolute bliss. With homemade kimchi which was terrific! The whole dishes were absolutely enjoyable. We also had the Dan Dan noodles which were also very good! We also had the ceviche which was extraordinary. The Panko prawns were also good. Edamame top. If I could have eaten more I would have ordered more. If we go back to Zadar will definitely visit again. I don’t know why people are complaining about the food here. Chef is top!
The waitress was also very lovely and the service was top.

I am not a sushi specialist, but I really enjoyed their food. The ambience was special, some would say out of place for Zadar, but that's why it feels special. The restaurant small, not ideal for big groups, but perfect for an intimate couple dinner. They have a very rich menu with all sorts of Asian food. The waiter was very professional, helpful and polite. I would recommend trying their food while exploring Zadar.

Very very tasty food and cozy atmosphere. We had edamame spicy and pad Thai with shrimps accompanied with Croatian wine. Excellence!!

Taste of orient in heart of the old town Zadar. Compliments to cook who has managed fully to capture original tastes of japanese cousine. Dish sizes are great and planty. Service fast and hospitable. Ambient perfect for dinner. If planning to sit at the evening beter reserve your place in advance.

This was my second visit in Zadar md my second time in this restaurant. I absolutely love their food. Fish is really fresh and portions are the right size and amount. It is possible to sit outside, on the main street, where eating you can enjoy the beauty of the city center. Ceviche was reeeeeally nice. If you want sushi while your visit in Zadar this is the perfect place!

Excellent food. Sushi was spectacular. You can tell that this is a fresh tuna region. Make sure you try the desserts. Nice seating (inside). Very nice service!

I moved here from Texas, and was hesitant to try Asian food since it was so great there.. but happy to find a great Asian spot in Zadar. It was a little pricey compared to what I’m used to getting in the states but the Japanese fried rice was delicious, and also the maguro roll & chicken teriyaki roll. I have had better Tom kha soup.

We love Japanese food, especially if had heavier dishes with meat or potatoes. This is lighter and feels healthier.

Great menu choices of appetisers, mains and sushi. Nicely presented, tasted great and reasonable price. What more can you ask for?! Great to find it here in Zadar and would happily go back.

Oh-my-lanta… this place was amazing. We ordered bacon enoki, bao buns, kung pao pork belly, tuna poke, and Korean fried chicken - i couldn’t have imagined anything better. I’m somewhat speechless as to how good EVERYTHING was… their Scapegrace Gin & Tonic was awesome as well!

We visited on a cold November night; there were almost no people on the streets old city thanks to the rain and and the sea breeze. The restaurant was empty, and we were the only commensals by eight pm though two more tables filled up after that. We ordered two beers and sparkling wine (prosecco), some appetizers, and three main dishes. The food was perfect, rich, warm, and tasty. I found it well-priced for the quality. If anything, we are too much, but man, it was so worth it.

Quite , warm place to enjoy your well prepared sushi ! There are many options in the menu and all of them are well prepared. Available wines from local area and can be perfectly combined with the served plates. Restaurant has few tables so it might be necessary to book your table in advance

Being a big fan of Japanese cuisine, loved moving to Zadar & finding somewhere to eat it! Their whole menu looks delicious, but Ramen is what keeps me coming back. Their servers are always pleasant & happy to answer any questions.

It’s a nice small modern restaurant which is offering 70% Japanese and 30 % Asian food which is nice presented in traditional Japanese tableware . The Sashimi is very fresh and the sushi is good. The soup base used for Ramen could be better. The service is excellent !

Was looking for a light lunch as we had so much meat recently, so we decided to eat here. We were served quite quickly.

Because it was very hot it was good to go into a location that had air conditioning.

My wife order the Veggie Poke Bowl which came out fresh and crisp. The Tofu was smokey and flavorful and the rice was just what she wanted.

I ordered the Duck Spring Rolls and the Maguro roll and Mediterranean Roll.

The duck spring roll was very tasty as it had a large chunk of duck and the egg roll sauce complemented the fried food.

The sushi was fresh and I tasted the sea in it. The rolls were very unique for the area.

I also got the gun black very tasty.

Good food. We ordered vegetarian pad thai. It was one of the best we ever had. The smoky flavor was new and tasted well. Service was also nice. Ambience was good as well. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but food was good. Definitely recommend going there.

Best miso soup I've had in a long time. I had the Crispy Tuna and Dragon Sushi, and veggie gyozas. Delicious 👌👌👌
