Wonderful dinner right on the water! They have plenty of options for everybody and every night that we went back, the food was amazing! The pizza and bread are delicious, you can even see them making the bread as you eat. The service is excellent as well, they’re so kind, friendly, and helpful! It’s between two main sections of restaurants on the water and would highly recommend to anybody staying in Makarska!

I recommend the restaurant for everyone visiting Makarska. It is located below the boardwalk, so it might be hard to find. There is very calm and peaceful atmosphere. Most of the tables are with the sea view.
A prices are fair, similar to other restaurants.
The staff is professional and polite.
The ordered dinner was delicious. Both the steak and squids.
At the end, we were offered a cheesecake on the house.

Best meal of the holiday - fantastic food, amazing setting (nice to be slightly off the main strip), and great service. Would definitely recommend

Extremely nice staff and really really nice food. We are from Hamburg and came here the first time - from the first Minute we felt welcomed and had wonderfull decent 'on time' service. The meals are fresh and there is an eclectic choice of wines - marvellous! Everything is fair priced. Sometimes you are accompanied by life music from the hotel above. We had the urge to write this reference because everybody must enjoy an evening in this place like we had.

This truly is a wonderful restaurant just next to the beach. You can literally swim to this restaurant. They serve very good seafood/fish. Try the plavac mali from our friend Marin... this is the best you will aver drink and makes its a diner never to forget ! If you make a reservation ask for a table on the pontoon… this sure is your perfect holiday ! enjoy !

Classic eatery in Makarska, been there many many times and they never dissapoint. Excellent food and service.

Very good dinner. Beef, chicken and fish dishes were all excellent. Menu is quite large, but it would be nice to see more desserts. Definately will go here again.

We wandered down to the most beautiful seafront restraunt bar for a drink
Was so pleasant we had a light lunch and more drinks. Excellent service from all the waiters thank you for a very enjoyable pleasant afternoon

Stunning location! Great local cheese selection, beautiful pasta! Portions are massive, no chances to leave this place being hungry! Absolutely recommended! :)

It's hard to choose the winner- location, staff or food, but one thing's for sure, Il Golfo is one of the best (and tastiest!) restaurants in Makarska!
