Dubrovnik Old Town Hostel

A perfect location as you enter the city walls, adjacent to a five-star hotel and many fine restaurants. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the common area showers and of the spotless rooms, sun fresh white linens and towels, and quiet walls. There were plenty of power plugs in the bedroom which was fantastic for charging phones and other electronic devices. It was also convenient to have a healthy bowl of muesli granola before departing in the morning which was provided complementary in a very tidy kitchen. Special thanks to the hostess at the property Mattia, she is a real treasure and I hope I have spelled her name right. If you visit or email the property she will be the one to respond as she's always around with a beautiful smile.

Great location, best people (volunteers), clean rooms, convenient kitchen and social activities every night. The bathroom has mould and the door to my room did not stay close without locking it with the key. But the volunteers balance it out and make your stay super enjoyable. Loved it, made new friends and will remember this trip forever :)

Pros:
Best location, right towards the entrance of Dubrovnik walls.
Common kitchen with all the basic cooking utensils and ingredients.
Friendly and cooperative staff, with flexibility to store luggage before/after checkout.
Cons:
Tiny rooms and the wooden floor made squeaky noises while walking.
Just one shared toilet/bathroom per floor.

The staff were all really friendly, and they went out of their way to get people talking with each other. I stayed in a private room (I like my privacy and sleep uninterrupted), and although the room was small, it was clean and comfortable. The entire place was spotlessly clean, and the location can't be beat. If you want to stay in the old town, definitely a great choice.

Nice hostel, safe for woman & solo traveler, clean. It is located on the strategic area too. I love the medieval atmosphere of this hotel and its neighborhood. You can also cook your meal here because the hostel provides kitchen. Nice and helpful staff too.

Everything in this place was perfect! From the location,hospitable and lovely staff, to clean comfortable rooms and great hat party for hostel guests organized by the owner. This is good for any type of traveler because they offer single ,private twin or 6 bed and 4 bed dorms which is great .We enjoyed free 24-hour breakfast and even cooked our own dinner !! There are may things to do around here . Staff recommended a great daily excursions , restaurants , night clubs and a massage place for relaxation. I will definitely come back again! Thank you for the great vacation!!

A really lovely cozy hostel, right in the centre of Dubrovnik. A short walk from the bus terminal if you catch a ferry of airplane into the city. The hostel has a great kitchen to cook your own foods in, or it's surrounded by lots of restaurants. The rooms are very large and clean, with each bed having a fan, power point to charge your devices on. The staff are super friendly. When I stayed there, I became friends with everyone in my 5 person dorm room and we ended up doing a bunch of activities together. It was great!

I had a really good time at Old Town Hostel. It is located in the center of everything. The rooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with free food and drinks. The common room was a blast. We had a fun hat party with dance music and a disco ball. If you want have fun and enjoy yourself at a hostel - this is the place.

I spent the week at Old Town Hostel Dubrovnik and had a great time! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is very helpful and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious and clean with original paintings on the ceilings. I definitely recommend staying at Old Town Hostel.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find a better hostel in Old Town Dubrovnik. I've stayed in hundreds of hostels over the years, and this is certainly one of the better ones. The rooms are well kept and thoughtfully stocked (lockers, spare blankets, good quality bunks and mattresses), and the staff helpful and friendly. It also helps that they only hired attractive Croatian girls, apparently. But seriously, if you are looking for a hotel, I can recommend it, good crowd of travellers too, open and friendly and not too party hard, respectful.

I loved my stayed here. The staff is super friendly. The location is great and near to everything. You can cook your own food or there are restaurants with reasonable prices nearby. Each bed has a fan, which is good. Even thought there is one bathroom per floor, the staff always keep clean and tidy. I made some friends and got the chance to meet wonderful people. Definetly they made my stay very comfortable. I would stay again with them.
If you go on a excursion try to go with Amico, yes they are expensive but they have a great service. I did one with another agency to go tthe Mostar (a must), very cheap, but terrible.

When you come to a place where you feel relaxed, happy and safe, like you are at home, then you are truly enjoy and live your life and your travels. This hostel is something amazing, from its location, staff, facilities, its story and atmosphere. Definitely worth checking in and out, and if you could repeat it once again in your life, do so! Enjoy this magical city sleeping in a magical place, you won't regret it!

Such a great hostel. It is clean, comfortable, and like home for a great value. We extended our stay bc it was so lovely. Special thanks to Mateja for being the best. She was so nice and accommodating. Highly recommend.

I stayed here over the summer of 2014. I had a blast. The reception workers were really nice. The location was super. The room that I stayed in was open, airy and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. And the common room was a nice place to have a cappucino and use the wifi. Overall I had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

Im so happy that i found this place, its my favourite in the town! Helpful staff with good ideas where to go and what to see, always nice atmosphere, beautiful rooms, cosy common room. In the kitchen you can grab some delicious smoothie or pancake or biscuits or cook something:) Wonderful and spontaneous international parties in the evening;) Best place to stay, really!

I have been traveling for many years and visiting hostels in many countries, I can say The Old Town hostel in Dubrovnik is one of the best I have ever been. Is the right place to be for every backpacker and every person that wants to enjoy the atmosphere of beautiful Dubrovnik. Located right in the center of the Old town, very clean, secure with perfect cosy common area to meet travelers from all the world. All this in a charming building from XVII with frescos in the roof. The staff is very friendly and help you with any kind of information, excellent hostel!!

It's a really carismatic place in the heart of Dubrovnik old tows. The staff and specially all the volunteers are all so welcoming. Feels like home!
