Supermarket Chalos

Chalo's is a good place for groceries and food products. A little different than other markets and better prices than Sandra's

Wonderful and frequently visited grocery store in Panajachel. Great prices, friendly staff, great variety of items, budget and gourmet. Fresh sourdough bread daily!

You can find just about anything here. Excellent frozen meat selection, lots of cleaning product options, and friendly staff. Good selection of made-in-Guatemala products.

Best grocery store in Panajachel. I avoid the chain stores and shop here whenever possible. Flour in bulk is available at the back deli counter. They have the best selection of wine at reasonable prices.

Chalo's is one of my top 2 favorite tiendas in Panajachel. They not only offer many items that can't be found at other stores, but they were one of the first tiendas that implemented Corona Virus protections and are careful about evaluation practices before any person enters the tienda. Also, there is always someone close by to offer assistance if you need help or to answer a question and they are mindful of social distancing and only allow a certain amount of people inside the tienda at the same time so that people are not too close to you as you shop.

Chalos is one of the to local grocery stores in Pana. The second being Sandra's market which is just down the street from Chalos.

This is a small yet very complete grocery with everything from Meats, Seafood Frozen, Fresh Baked Bread, Dairy sections, and dry goods.

Chalos also has a large selection of Wines and Liquors.

Prices are reasonable. Nice staff.

Best place to buy Ex-Pat foods. Fresh breads are amazing. Pricing is fair for the area. Staff is always friendly and greets you with a smile!

Great supermarket with many items that you can't find in other stores. Friendly staff.

It's a local supermarket. You can get imported items also but they are expensive. The local food is just as good.

This store has many hard to find items and wine

We shop here almost every week and they have a great selection of stuff that we are used to from the states!
