Chichoy

All of our food was delicious. We had the chicken with soup and vegetables. The tortillas are made freshly there just before the dining room. Two ladies in Mayan attire were busy making them freshly. It was too much food too finish and I ate some for breakfast the next day. We also bought pies. Wow, such a great place. 👍🏻 👌 👏 😍

On our day trip to Lake Atilan, our guide brought us to Chichoy, a lovely restaurant in the mountains. It reminded me of a woodsy cabin at a ski resort. The breakfast started with complimentary oatmeal (after coffee of course 😉) and large portions of food were served promptly. I think we were all pleased to start our day in such a special establishment.

Stopped by here with the family on our way back to Guatemala City. Beautiful atmosphere with friendly service. Ordered the Plato's Tipicos de puyazo and it was excellent. Everyone else was happy with their plates to with the fried fish being the highlight.

Great place to eat and buy food to take w you

Very nice place on the road between Guatemala City and Xela. This restaurant is big and accommodates hundreds of customers. There was a live band playing local songs when we visited and, overall, it just feels modern and with a great infrastructure. Service was good and helpful. The food was very good and our group really enjoyed the different parrilladas we tried. Definitely a place to recommend.

Plenty of food with good flavor. Home made tortillas in front of you when eating. We ordered a "parrilada gran chichoy" for 2 people and a "caldo de la casa". There were too much food. We barely finished it. Recommended!!

Very nice restaurant with a variety of food. Very spacious room for big families. Convenient location to stop and eat while traveling.

Stopped here during a tour to Iximche and had a really great lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the food and service were both great. Very reasonably priced and a great value -- especially the nachos! Great piña coladas, too, and queso fundito like I've never had. Don't miss the employees demonstrating how to make tortillas near the main entrance!

Wonderful restaurant, stop here and enjoy desayunos tipico y cafe local.

Great place to eat delicious food

Food was pretty good . It was roast beef ( like roast ) in the bowl with rice . Some kind of squash , corn, carrot , güisquil ( veg pear ) which is in the squash family as well . & the tortillas were so soft and fresh !

Great family restaurant with fabulous food. Nachos and fondue are delicious!!! A great stop on your way to the mountains or lake. Decor is lovely!

Ultimate roadside stop! Menu is huge and everything is super-delicioso! Loved the nachos, smoothies, roasted chicken, soups, fresh tortillas, Ice cream, etc. They can accommodate large groups easily and have great parking and clean bathrooms. Can’t go wrong.

Nice ambience downstairs, bit too modern upstairs. Good, quality food with fresh blue corn tortillas. Solid place if looking for quality meal
