Waterfall Lodge at Wli

As remarked by other reviewers this is a terrific lodge. In fact it's one of the very best we've stayed in anywhere in Ghana, across multiple trips over several decades. The German couple that own and run it, still live on the premises and everything (garden, buildings and so on) are well maintained unlike many other lodges we visited in Ghana. By contrast, the gardens here are well cared for and very restful with terrific mountain views, the rooms airy and very clean, and food is really excellent -- some of the best we had in Ghana. And *everything* on the menu was available -- a first! The staff are also really nice and you get the impression they are granted the autonomy to do their jobs well. To be honest, we did not want to leave despite no longer really having any reason to stay longer. Visit before they retire in the next couple of years!

One of the most beautiful places I stayed in Ghana. The staff is so polite and friendly, everything is taken care of. The rooms are nice and clean, the food is really delicious and always freshly cooked. The owners can give you great recommendations of what to do in the region and make sure you take enough water and a sandwich to your hikes - so sweet. I loved the garden and mountain view so much 😍

It's a very quiet and serene atmosphere, they provide very tidy and spacious rooms.
Their food is amazing and its delivered on time.

No AC but the temperature is so cool, that we didn’t even use ceiling fan.
Breakfast included filter coffee. Food was really good, especially when you come down from the mountain hike! It’s possible to order sandwiches for the trip, nice sandwiches, packed in plastic box so they are fresh to enjoy at the waterfall!
They accept MOMO.
The location is not connected directly to the main road, but very close to the start of the mountain trail. It’s definitely worth looking for.
Prices are very reasonable.
We will be back for sure!

This was a very comfortable spot in Wli. The owners know the area well and answered all our questions. Restaurant and laundry prices are reasonable and the food was pretty good. We stayed two nights in the private huts and one in the main building, and the huts are definitely more private. We aren’t dog people but the dogs kept out of the way. The view of the mountains and waterfall from the pavilion are great and watching the moon rise over them was pretty spectacular!

The couple running this lodge are so kind and friendly. Nothing but good things to say!

We camped here for two nights and enjoyed a variety of food that they offer, especially after dinner ice cream. The prices for food and drink are very reasonable. The toilets and showers were always spotlessly clean.

Room prices are reasonable, no free breakfast here, feel comfortable like home, the owners, mum and dad takes care very much

We were for 3 days guests at the Lodge. The owner, a German couple, was very nice and helpfull by planing hiking tours or other tourist targets. Breakfeast and dinner are very good.
The rooms are very nice and clean.
The Lodge is the perfect starting point of your hiking tours.

The best place to stay when you are coming to check out the waterfalls. The owners were flexible with my last minute booking and late arrival. The room was reasonably priced and very clean and spacious. No air-condition needed in the wet season, it's nice and cool during night. The accommodation offers great views and the food is great.

Great place to stay, beautiful gardens and lovely chalets. The view of the mountain is wonderful. Walking distance to start the walk to waterfall. We even broke down and needed a new tyre and Sabina and her husband helped us find a new one. She showed me round her amazing vegetable garden and I learnt lots. Thanks for looking after us we had a great stay 😊

Where do I even start? so many good things about this lodge. The owners, Bernhard and Sabine were very nice and welcoming, making sure we settled in our rooms when we arrived. The rooms were spacious and well stocked. The beds were just magical The dining area is a summer hut with hanging art that gives it an afrowestern vibe. Even though the portions were small (that's just cause i had a big appetite after hiking Mt. Afadjato), the quality of the food was a solid 10. They have a barbecue by the side as well. The view is just UNREAL, the waterfall reflects the early morning rays of the sun.......forget the fancy hotels, it's the place to be in when you're in Wli!!

My friend brought me here and we had a magical experience at the falls and the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the owners made us feel like family.

Great place to grab a bite after a day at a waterfall. The food is nice and whether you're after local cuisine or a cheese and egg sandwich you will find something for you. The prices are reasonable and the staff very nice.
