Mount Afadja

Trekking experience awesome, go with plastic hand fan, fat and smoker people take rest in every 100 meter,

Been here twice and both have been amazing experiences. Climbing to the top is always not easy but the excitement of getting there is unmatched. Would love to go there again surely.

To be able to get to the top you need to perceive in order to get to top.
If you have any health issues please do not try .
Because I could literally hear my heart beat in my ear.
You need to be in your best sneakers and something comfortable.
Need to carry water along Cuz guys you will be thirsty, and climbing with load to is another problem. Carry along your face towel.
So you pay ghs30.00 as Ghanaian to climb the mountain, you be given a tourist guard,
Our tourist guard was Ishmael and he was so accommodating, we delayed him by taking pictures and resting too much but he was patient and he takes nice pictures
Over all this is wealth the sweat .

Oh what an adventure!!! As to why I am now doing this? I can’t say but I am so glad I did.
First things first, that climb is not a joke 🤯🤯 but when you set up your mind to get to the top, you will find a way.
It may take some minutes and others hours but at the end of it all we shall all get to the pinnacle(some wise words there for life 😊).

Some things to note
1.Prepare physically for the climb. Some squats and cardio during the preceding week won’t be bad.

2.Stay hydrated!!! This can’t be overemphasised. Those sips of water or glucose solution will help a lot.

3.Keep an insect repellent close. Those insects in the ‘forest’ aren’t very welcoming.

4.Get some healthy and light nibbles for the climb. It could be a granola bar, chocolate or nuts to munch on when the need arises.

5.Come along with a walking stick(you read right!) or you can make do with some sticks lying around the foot of Afadjato.

6.Find a walking companion to cheer you on and pull you up or vise versa.

7.Take loads of pictures and videos right from the foot of the mountain to the top. You will be glad you did.

8.Wear light clothing and comfortable sneakers. Preferably your workout clothes.

9.Keep some analgesics on you for emergency moments.

10.Don’t litter. Drop your waste in the bins provided along the path.

Unlike mount Obourtabri in koforidua where it not so tiresome to climb, this mount is pretty steep to climb. Don't climb if it rained a day before, it's too dangerous.
Climbing and descending is not so easy but to challenging.

I'd tick this off my bucket list. The climb is not for the swift or faint of heart.

Great adventure to climb that mountain. Take a lot of water and a good guide with you. After that cool down in the wli waterfall.

A place that needs to be visited. Awesome mount. Lush green covering the peak. Wow.... Extremely difficult to descend but can be managed. Ghana government should play more active role in promoting the place as tourist spot

An expedition worth taking.

Make sure you are in comfortable clothes and sneakers with less load as the climb can be stressful. Stay hydrated as well and the journey will be a lot easier.

I conquered mount Afadja. I’m super proud of myself and I definitely recommend this for people to go try it. Do not give up! Once you start motivate yourself to get to the summit. You will never regret doing this!

Climbing up there wasn't easy but it was fun to do so. We encouraged each other and getting to the top was Awesome 😁

The view at the top is worth the climb. So exhilarating. Don't miss out on this. At 885m high, it is the highest Mountain in Ghana.

Nature's creativity at its finest. The mountain top is a challenge few dare to undertake. Hence the view as magnificent as it is, is a little sweeter knowing you had to work your body to reach the top.
