Big car park. Lots of spaces walked into the shop. Lots of Christmas decorations. Beautiful layout. Lovely shop. Thoroughly enjoyed looking around. They've got everything dishwashers cookers washing machines Christmas tremens baby stuff blankets towels, bed clothes ,Christmas trees , chocolates ,books, toys, it's got everything in it , such a beautiful shop. It Has an upstairs, has a lift, right next to Waitrose and a cafe. What more could you want for a day out shopping?

Nice store on a retail park with plenty of parking. Cafe & toilets.
Very good electrical department and all stall in every department very knowledgeable about goods.
Probably one of the only haberdashery/ sewing apartments left.

This is a very well appointed store. I returned a purchase (a faux fur throw) which was brilliant, but the colour just didn't look right at home. It was no drama at all, service with a smile.
Colour matching seems to be difficult in many stores. The lighting can affect the colour, which is as difficult looking at products on websites.
JLP customer service is superb, and this is one of the few places I am happy to spend time wandering around as there is so much to look at.

My review for CurrysPC World..... "If I ever plan to disappear, I'll walk into this place. It appeared on my final visit there that literally no one could see me so I went to John Lewis where I was instantly visible. I know i paid more but i got served. That's a win for me".

I recently bought two iPads at the Ipswich store, and additional memory add-ons.
The store transferred all stored material’s and photos on the day (Thankyou Kevin!!) from our old ones, and his personal service and attention to detail was excellent.
Very satisfied indeed.
Will shop there again!

Exceptional customer service from John Lewis.

Not wanting to have to travel to Ipswich I bought a TV online from John Lewis, however I did have a problem with it once I'd set it up.

While having to go into Ipswich for a car service, I called into John Lewis on the off-chance they were maybe able to help me, instead of having to use online AI chatbots, much preferring the direct human approach.

Looking for someone to speak to, a young man, Matt S asked if I needed any help, yes, I replied, and explained the situation to him. He soon understood the problem and suggested I take the TV into the store, so he could help me.

This I dully did, and I have to say Matt S is the epitome of outstanding customer service, he empathized, took ownership, and found a solution to the problem. Coupled with his good technical knowledge, he was able to give me a number of acceptable swap options.

I have to say I was half expecting to hear 'computer says no', or 'sorry we can't help', but no, Matt S had a positive, can do attitude.

There is an expectation on the level of service and quality of product before you even enter a store with John Lewis above the door.
That expectation was, in my opinion, met and exceeded at every turn.
The staff of whom we interacted with a few were professional, helpful and welcoming.
The store is well lit, well laid out, with plenty of space in both the store and the carpark. .

Nice store, great for electronics and furnishings also. The coffee shop is always busy, but they move it well and all the staff are very polite and helpful.

Fantastic service on thursday. Michael in the bed/mattress dept was very knowledgeable, good advice given. Mattress purchased for delivery next week. When I explained I had to have a back procedure next week, he arranged for it to be delivered that day.
Imagine my surprise when a gentleman appeared in his own car with the mattress in the back.
I was so very grateful.

Couldn't recommend John Lewis Ipswich and its staff more highly.
On Mothers day I took my daughter's MacBook that we purchased in store as it was locking her out. I spoke with a tech guy in store called Kevin who could not have been more friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. In no time he had us back in and even updated our settings for us, he was so patient and a real credit to JLP. This is where JL are strong, they employ lovely patient staff who are happy to help, I would not consider buying any large purchase from anyone else. No problem is ever too small and I cannot thank Kevin enough for all his help.

i just go here to play with devices, staff are lovely but sometimes they aren't completely on top of technology

The service we just received from an older gentleman with glasses was impeccable. He went above and beyond to tell us everything we needed to know about the television we were asking for. He wasn't just trying to sell us the most expensive he was trying to sell us the one that fits our needs the best! Can't ask for better than that! Thanks

Cannot fault the nursery team (Bryan and his trainee)! Very knowledgeable and made us feel so much more at ease, especially as first time mum. They were not pressuring, super welcoming and gave fantastic personalised, realistic advice. I’ve walked away with a very positive view of John Lewis! Will definitely continue to pop back in as my little one grows. The lady on the checkout was very friendly and polite as well. Brilliant team!

On 9 June we bought a Bosch Induction Hob from a very knowledgeable and helpful Partner who gave good advice, and researched the item thoroughly for us to make sure it will fit the existing space. Unfortunately I didn't make a note of his name; on our receipt is 'Asst IW2018' which I hope will help identify him! So of course we bought from JL rather than anywhere else.

My rating is for one particular employee at the Ipswich store, Nathan (bed/mattress department). He was an absolute star and helped us understand what we were looking for with no pressure.
Nathan was incredibly knowledgeable and we left with a much better understanding of mattresses and pillows. Never had customer service like it honestly! Thanks Nathan!

Well it just goes to show you get what you pay for... Quality service from delivery people with one of the residents on my site. Really helpful, kind and compassionate. You can all be very proud. Outstanding performance in challenging circumstances. Highly commend.

We had an appointment at the nursery department in Ipswich today with Bryan.
He is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable on all the products. The experience was really enjoyable and memorable I honestly couldn’t of been happier. Bryan is a credit to JL and I would recommend him to everyone. I actually had been told about him from one of my close friends, which made me book the appointment in the first place it was just lucky I got him aswell.
Thank you Bryan for all your help and patience I know we had a lot of questions.
