Lidl

I wouldn't usually review a supermarket, but this place deserves mention for the ease of parking for those in a van or camper. Large bays, plenty of space to maneuver between them, and located just off a main road junction.
The place was spotlessly clean, the all important bakery well stocked, and 'the middle of Lidl' (special buys), were in good supply.
A recommended stopover if travelling/camping in southern Galloway.

We tend to rotate where we do our big shops. We find we can get certain things we want in different supermarkets.
Lidl is very good for their selection of nuts and seeds and dried fruits. There's always plenty of parking spaces here and the store is clean and tidy and well laid out with wide aisles. They have a good frozen vegetarian selection too.

A well organised, clean, smart shop. Till service quick and efficient. Reasonable sized car park and disabled parking close to the entrance.

Typical Lidl - great produce, great service, great prices.. immaculate throughout and supporting local (Scottish 🏴??????) producers and suppliers .. highly recommended.

Good selection especially the non food tools and toys

I don't live in Dumfries but I'd recently heard that Lidl had had some renovations recently so we thought we'd check it out. I think this was maybe the best Lidl I've ever been to.

Plenty of space for the new slim-lined trollies, loads of parking, lots of offers and we got served super quickly which comes from an exceptionally flexible staff team.

Awesome experience, would recommend!

Excellent staff, always helpful. Don't push in front of customers to fill shelves or rush you to pack your groceries.

I usually avoid going to Lidl as I find the stores rather messy and many items missing prices. Missing prices are a pet-peeve of mine!!!. However - Dumfries has a great Lidl which must be reflective of a good manager and staff working there. I have not met the manager of this store yet but I will thank him/her when I do. I pop into this store about twice a month on business trips into the area and always found it neat and tidy. Well-organised and efficient staff in attendance. I hope they maintain this standard and hope this catches on in more of the Lidl stores.

I have always loved Lidl and the choice in Dumfries is getting even better, the fresh and frozen chicken breast is fantastic value for money. Their breaded southern fried chicken is outstanding and their diced beef is wonderful for a stew. If you are a steak eater then you will love the choice and as for their own coffees, teas and cold meats : FIRST CLASS. 10 out of 10 for choice and customer service and the store is always pristine clean.

Forgot my backpack there last night (don't ask). Came by this morning and found it'd been tucked away in a safe but easy-to-find spot. Thanks guys!

Very fresh, great value.

I have always found what is on my Lidl shopping list. I can only get Hazelnut chocolate crepes and Lidl or Aldi, but I prefer the Lidl French ones. Also good value, and the centre aisles are great.

Great store, got what I needed. I like the way they always try and do all the stores to the same layout so even if one particular store isn't your local its still all laid out the same so you can still find stuff! A rarity these days, especially with the more major supermarkets!

It is a great bargain supermarket with high quality fruit and vegetables and major items such as salmon. They also have rather random selections of tools utensils or other hardware plus special food offers which are good value. Staff are friendly and efficient. They do stock some well known food brands and some newspapers.

Great place to shop good value for money ,set out like all Lidl,s are so at least u know where things are,also downloaded the Lidl app for recipts and offers.
