Recently, I purchased a Stihl chainsaw from Carters for my work. I would just like to say a big thank you initially to Steve in the sales team, for his professional help and advice in assisting me to purchase the correct saw for my needs. Also for his demo which clearly showed his experience. I would also like to say a big thank you to Jason in the Forestry and spares section. His professional help and assistance regarding advice on spares and usage of the saw, including a demo of sharpening the saw blade. Also later, for speedily changing a saw blade for me in the middle of a job!....greatly appreciated!! A professional set up with good communication skills. Thank you

Superb Service
I was looking to buy a new ride on Mower, I visited the large showroom which has a great range of machines on display. Steve Williment talked through the pros and cons of various machines that best suited my requirements, he was honest in his opinions and able to answer all of my questions. I ordered a new Mower and it was delivered by Steve a few days later along with a detailed handover on how to operate the machine. Overall a superb experience.

Needed a replacement part for the fuel tank on my petrol hedge trimmer. Carter's had it in and ready for me the following day and even aided with the fitting of the part even though they were not obliged. Absolutely fantastic service going above and beyond to provide customer satisfaction. I would recommend carter's to anyone needing replacement parts for their garden machinery

Jason in the Forestry department was so helpful checking my Stihl chainsaw guide bar which was worn. He cleaned the drive bits. He gave me a new drive bar and a new chain as my driver bits were damaged. I also asked him to check the chainsaw worked which he did outside. I now have an operational chainsaw whereas before the chain kept coming off.

Excellent customer service based on traditional values of honesty and integrity. The sales and service team understand the needs of the customer and tailor their advice accordingly. Never any hard-sell tactics. Exceptionally prompt technical service - my sharpened mower blades were returned to me within 22 hours. Well done James, Stacey and the rest of the team. Please keep up the good work.

Cannot recommend Carters of Swanwick enough!
We’ve used them in the past when purchasing Ego garden tools and they were extremely helpful so thought of them straight away when we had an issue with our Husqvarna automower.
Steve responded to our enquiry within 5 minutes and instantly tried to assist.
To cut a long story short, we didn’t purchase our Husqvarna automower through Carters but Steve was still happy to assist in helping us sort an issue. He didn’t have to but went out of his way to be helpful and we are extremely grateful for this.
5 star service! Would recommend to anyone!

A couple of months ago I bought a Sthil RM 248 from Carters, the in-store service was great and the lawnmower is superb.

I also went with the Aspen fuel, I was unsure about this as it is more expensive than pump petrol, however, the Sthil running on Aspen is completely free of any exhaust fume smell, why go electric when engines can be this good?

Will get the next chainsaw from Carters.

We use Carters of Swanwick because they know what they are doing. If you want professional unbiased advice and at a competitive price this is the garden machinery supplier you need to use. Jason has advised me on several items of machinery not because its the most expensive but because its the right tool for the job! I have had machines repaired and the turnaround has been timely and cost effective. You can go to your local DIY store but i wouldn't waste your time or money. Go to Carters and have a conversation that allows you to complete a job successfully.

Recently purchased a Husqvarna 415x from Carters of Swanwick and throughout the entire buying process we were expertly advised by James Glasper - Hassell, their Commercial Sales Manager, as to the most suitable model for our size of lawn. Delivery and installation of the boundary wire took no more than a couple of hours and we can now sit back and watch as the mower makes its way around the lawn. Easy to operate and keep an eye on it using the app on a smartphone meaning we can now go away to visit family and friends without worrying about what state the lawn will be in upon our return. Thoroughly recommend both the product and the service from Carters of Swanwick, thank you!

Recently bought a property with land. A real novice with garden machinery. My 3rd visit to Carters and dealt with 3 different members of staff and they have all been great. Bearded chap in parts was great on Friday.

I have purchased a Husqvarna automower from Carters 4 years ago including installation. The automower has exceeded my expectations, we have a very large garden and the mower (now called Doombar) saves me 2 hours a week plus I no longer have a mountain of grass cuttings to take to the tip. The mower has never needed a service, I give it a quick brush down once a month and change the blades three times a year (new blades cost pennies). I have accidently cut through the underground border wire a couple of times, but it's easy to find the break and a quick snap-on waterproof connector fixes any break within minutes.

Our garden is approx 3/4 acre and has a large patio island with a few trees and a couple of manhole covers .. all no problem for the automower to navigate around. Every visitor to our house comments on our garden and of course Doombar becomes a focal point in the garden.

It's been a great buy and with almost no runnings costs has been excellent value for money.

PS Doombar is what I'm hopefully drinking while the automower cuts my grass.

Excellent experience dealing with Carters. Gave great advice and I ended up purchasing an automatic lawn mower which covers a large area. James installed it for us and it has worked really well for the last 3 years. We’ve only had a couple of minor issues and in each case James has responded very quickly and professionally and solved our issues. Highly recommended.

Have recently bought a cordless mower and strimmer from Carter's and was extremely pleased with the advice received. So much better than buying online and it also saved us money. Would highly recommend and return if we need anything else.

These guys are the real deal. Not only are they extremely helpful & knowledgeable, but they are also very friendly and professional. Following a rather unpleasant experience at another garden machinery company, these guys have been nothing short of astonishing.

In particular, Simon and his colleagues in the parts department, and especially Dan from the service department who took the time to come and check out my mower that I had in the van in the car park. He gave me some helpful information to resolve a small issue I had.

What a fantastic company. Thanks guys, I now need to look no further for my garden machinery requirements!

We have been using Carter's for many years, we have found the parts team (Jason) very knowledgeable and always has an answer or alternative product. When it comes to purchasing machinery James is always on hand with his knowledge and advice. Always available to chat on the phone with any queries. Overall highly recommended company to use.
