It's small, but has all the essentials you'd need for basic supplies. Very affordable and the atmosphere is really pleasant. Not overly crowded, and the lights and noise are setup in a way that was very relaxing (which isn't usual for me as I have autism).

It's a really nice walk from most places in the city centre and is easy to get in and out of. The new self-checkout services are also really easy to use and way better than the ones in the old Tesco metro.

I've seen people complaining about prices and things but that's because prices have gone up everywhere, it's not the Tesco's fault, I shop at a ton of different places so stay up to date.

The staff were also really nice and helpful. It's a good addition to the street, and will definitely make other shops nearby easier and more convenient to use.

A new store new location, smaller than the other store that was opposite the market.
Staff were friendly and polite, the shop itself was fully stocked up, lots of self self-service tills, you can still buy tobacco from the main till. Cash point on the outside wall.
A pleasant experience all round.

The store is kind of hidden as it’s beneath the gym and beside mountain warehouse. It’s smaller than the previous one and it has fewer options. Also has a lot of service which I don’t mind. Nonetheless, it is decent and on a good day, you can get what you need.

After shopping at the old Tesco by the Guildhall, this Express store is postage stamp size in comparison. Not much range of products, narrow aisles and small self service tills, not worth returning.

Just why? The metro was so popular and extremely useful to anyone living in the city without a car.

Pathetic and pointless little shop, cramped, and poorly stocked. It's just way, way too small and under-resourced for the task it's dismally failing to fulfil (no reflection on its staff or immediate management, who are no doubt doing their best under the circumstances). If you're totally desperate for a pint of milk, standing outside HSBC, and can't be bothered to walk 5 minutes to any of the pre-existing, better mini-markets in the vicinity, it's just possible this miniscule shop might manage to fulfil your needs, but personally I'd rather go looking for a cow. To shop at this Tesco you have to be the sort of person who enjoys the challenge of squeezing between abandoned shelf-filling paraphernalia in search of something that wasn't what you wanted, but will have to do. You have to get a thrill out of shopping under the baleful glare of a grumpy security guard, driven to depression by the nasty, gloomy little entrance in which they're obliged to stand. If you positively like filthy floors, that's a real bonus. The only thing missing from a truly depressing experience, when I used the shop, was that the automatic till actually worked. Tesco, please, please, get your act together. The Guildhall supermarket was busy, with good, helpful staff, fulfilling a real need, and it was already obviously somewhat small. Replacing it with this sad little micro-outlet was a truly awful decision, showing total disdain for both your own staff and for Norwich.

Hate this new store and now avoid it. Previous metro was great for picking up lunch and items for dinner on the way home but this new tiny shop is worst T express ive been in. They are alwaya empty of veg and only stock the most expensive versions of key products e.g. Heinz ketchup at £4.15! fresh soup at £3.50 limited tesco products except the sandwiches which are now bland and overpriced.. just hate it and now walk home and drive to Aldi rather than pay their prices.. Roll on a proper supermarket coming into the city.

The staff are friendly and helpful but the stock is poor and the layout is terrible.

There are always massive ques for the tills and it's not clear were people should que.

I think they would do well to look for another site clise to the city centre.

It seems likely that most local people will shop at the new morisons once it opens.

Very small store. Why do Tescos need two shops in city shut both and make a bigger store makes more sense and would be more popular with customers. Can't move through ailes when staff are filling shelves. A big disappointment whoever thought this would be a good idea should be sacked🤔l have had to shout for till staff in mornings a couple of times. I don't like using self service they need to sort themselves out

What a disgrace.. I loved Tesco metro because it had almost everything I needed. Living in the centre without a vehicle it was so nice to be able to just walk in and do the vast majority of my shopping. The new shop is tiny has almost nothing in it and it freaks me out even tho I'm not claustrophobic. So I'm out Tesco sorry ..

Absolute shambles. Terrible stock options and aisles far too close together. Trying to choose a meal deal here quite easily induces a panic attack.
A very big let down after the previous store. Can't wait for the new Morrisons to open.

Significantly poorer selection and location than previous store opposite the Guildhall. Used to frequently go in to get small bits of shopping as I was leaving the city, but it's no longer on the way and they generally don't have all the things I'd want, so I end up going to the Co-op or other bigger supermarkets once I've left the city.
