Lidl

Lidl is an excellent supermarket that consistently exceeds my expectations. The store is well-organized, making shopping efficient and hassle-free. One of the best things about Lidl is the variety of products available, ranging from everyday essentials to unique European specialties. Their produce section is always stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables, and their bakery offers a delightful selection of breads and pastries, baked fresh daily. The prices at Lidl are very competitive, offering great value for money, especially considering the quality of the products. Additionally, the staff at Lidl are friendly and helpful, which enhances the shopping experience. Lidl is a fantastic choice for those looking for quality groceries at affordable prices.

Very good super market. Have everything at reasonable prices. With clean working trolleys.
Spacious car park. Including disabled bays close to the entrance.
A pod point with a fast charger is situated, on the premises.

This is not my nearest lidl as it is approximately 150 miles away from my house. I visit often because it is where I have family. The range is excellent and I frequently leave with more goodies and treats just because they are tempting, oh so tempting

Great place to shop and great prices and friendly staff and has a big car park so easy parking and has disabled parking as well. Toilets at this place and very clean and still one of the best places to shop for a bargain. Many festive products now available. Still very busy at certain times.

Always a quick / fairly quick shopping experience and everything I need almost always available.

Busy vibrant store today with many multi cultural customers. Just the way I like it. No pushing. No screaming kids. No rudeness. Plus, I can buy practically all I want here in the Shirley store economically and of good quality. The photo of the customers with baskets are from this Shirley, Southampton store.
Two additional photos of tinned food are from a Lidl store in southern France [town of Pezenas, IIRC]. I do wish Lidl would sell them in the UK [my little protest, but I am a lone voice]. I've eaten home made Cassoulet many times and these tinned supermarket examples are excellent alternatives if you don't have the time. All very quick and convenient.

Very cheap, great products! We do our weekly shop and more in here. Love the special buys and speciality/country weeks for the food too. Supplies the usual store cupboard staples, but can always find something different each week!

Food ,household goods, toys clothes & much more at very reasonable prices

A nice supermarket in a busy high street with plenty of local buses nearby. Car park entrance is in Villiers Road, so it's easy to miss and awkward to return to if you have driven by. Inside, its much like any other Lidl. I prefer this Lidl to the others that are local to me.

Nice place to shop for your groceries at cheap cost.

Low prices is their name, cant wait for my next shopping.

For a trolley of food to get us, a family of four to get us over New Year period, with careful selection and taking advantage of goods, such as Christmas puddings, reduced after Christmas day, my full trolley value came to approximately £50. I'm sure anywhere else it would be at least £100. In the current climate we have to be selective. Selectivity is the some total of profitability! Thank you Lidle!

I step inside and experience enlightenment. What a place! Everything you could ever wish for (bar lemons and noodles) and for a small price. One time I bought 15 beers for £8. One time I bought a baby for a fiver. Deals galore. Shop here or burn in hell for eternity. Peace out

My favourite shop of all times! I'm also chuffed they now have the loyalty cards! It makes you feel like despite the already best prices, you can easily get further discount with the coupons they regularly give you (and they are for everyday items which we would ACTUALLY use!), AND on top of this if you spend £100 in the shop for the month, you get £2 to spend (which is actually a lot, considering the prices!)! :)

I have also seen some areas of the shop been ran out dry, but people need to keep in mind it's not the worker's fault. Manufacturer's supplies, demand and purely enough working hands available are sometimes behind the empty shelves. I believe the employees in this store are already working as hard as possible, I see it every time I visit, without exceptions! Please be more understanding! Worst case scenario - you can always nicely approach one of them and kindly ask if they have some more stock of the item you want, they might have just followed other prioritised by management tasks and have not had the opportunity to get to this area just yet! :)

And I also absolutely enjoy seeing the lovely gentleman who is usually on the self-checkout machines! I will ask for his name next time and update my review, he is amazing and deserves a mention!! Not only helpful in situations where the till doesn't like the weight of one of my items, but always greets me and makes me laugh, makes sure he interacts with me every time he sees me! ^_^

I had to leave a review, and the reason is this: The food is really good quality. There's no Lord Sainsbury at the top of the pile and as a result, everyone else gets paid a decent salary. So, no frills, but reasonable prices. Also, importantly, they sometimes put boxes of fruit or veggies that are near their sell by date near the exit. How smart is that? Food doesn't get thrown and sold for a really good price.

Large clean store, usually well stocked considering it's footfall. If you doing a small shop there's plenty of self service checkouts so rarely have to que for long.

However like most supermarkets that seem to be transitioning from staffed to unstaffed checkouts, wait times with trollies can be a bit longer.
