The Squirrel Tea Room

A gorgeous little tea room in Ainsdale Village. Everyone inside is kind and welcoming with a smile.
The menu is full of delicious things from pancakes at breakfast, to soups and toasted sandwiches at lunch.
You usually get a free bit of fudge with a hot drink too!
Oh, and the kids got choc comes in a squirrel mug which is just the best!!
They even have a gallery with local artists work on all of their walls, some games and books to pass the time with, and a plant swap too!
The lights aren't too bright and it's just a comfortable place to go and spend some time. Highly, highly recommended!!!!
Oh, as a note, parking in the village can be a bit tricky but there's usually space somewhere if you don't mind/can walk a little. :)

A great find well visiting Southport from Western Australia. Cheery, friendly service, and lovely pancakes and drinks. Quite quirky, very clean and tidy. Hope to come again.

Visited with my friend in November and we had such a lovely time! It was abit busy when we got there so had a nose in the shops till it was abit quieter. My friend is a huge chatterbox and the owners were so lovely and chatty too, along with the other customers. The food was excellent and very fairly priced. I had a special Christmas turkey club and it was absolutely gorgeous! We did over order though as we couldn't choose! Portion sizes are great and we took the leftover food home along with some cakes and a big bag of probably the best fudge I've ever had! It's homemade and was gorgeous, no grittyness at all, just lovely creamy fudge. We're not from the area but I live in Crosby so thankfully not too far! Intend on bringing my daughter for lunch (and more fudge obviously) in the near future.
I don't get to see my friend often as she lives in Wales and, you know, life.... so a big thank you to the fabulous staff who helped make our girls day 1 to remember. Hope to see you again soon!

We went here on Sunday for the first time and cannot believe we haven't been before. The staff could not do enough for us - we had games for the children, home made fudge with our delicious hot chocolates and some very tasty cakes. We will definitely be going back. Next time, we'll be giving the breakfast wraps a go - they looked and smelled amazing!

Lovely cafe. Had breakfast with all my family, food was delicious, served hot, and really child friendly with toys and children’s portion sizes. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely, quirky cafe in Ainsdale village, nowhere else around quite like it. The cafe has a lot of character with its own art gallery and plant exchange. Every visit is memorable and the interactions between customers and staff are very friendly, making it feel like a community😁

A lovely tea room in Ainsdale Village. Today I had tea (served with a delicious piece of homemade fudge) and a toasted teacake. I go regularly for my lunch. The sandwiches are delicious served with homemade colslaw, and salad.
The place is spotlessly clean, and the owners and staff are extremely welcoming. I highly recommend, and will be going again very soon. Thankyou for all your hard work, and for bringing such a special place to the village.

A wonderful addition to Ainsdale Village. Beautifully decorated with artwork supporting local artists and lending library. Very friendly staff, great food, the scrambled egg and chorizo is delicious and the homemade cakes very tasty washed down with a steaming mug of tea or coffee. Keep being brill, Ash and Kym! 🙂

First visit, really good relaxed feel to the place. Food was fantastic, the coffee & homemade cakes were amazing. Very reasonably priced. Definitely be back. Highly recommended. Loved it. 🍰☕🫖🥪

Took my children to the cafe on their last day of school before Christmas to enjoy a piece of cake (which was delicious). Such a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The kids loved playing the board games/reading the books that are available. We will be back!

Lovely food and lovely staff! The cookies & chocolate milkshakes are really nice! A great addition to the village!!!

Had a lovely visit here on Friday. We didn't realise it was closing . No problem we were welcomed and had tea and lovely lemon drizzle cake. Also with our cuppas was a small triangle of homemade chocolate toffee shortbread. That was scrummy. Lovely people would recommend this tea room x

Had a lovely bowl of delicious creamy carrot and coriander soup for lunch, yesterday, served with warm crusty bread. Welcoming and friendly service. Place was full, clearly a popular choice. Will call again if I’m in the area! Thank you!

Lovely new cafe , so much hard work has been put into this . Staff Ashley and kym always go the extra mile , keep up the great local service . If you’re ever around the Ainsdale area do pop in here , you won’t be disappointed. And take home the homemade cakes too delicious keep up the great work

Hidden gem in Ainsdale village! I love the cosy atmosphere and the decor is super refreshing, alongside showcasing local artists work ✨ THE COOKIES ARE EXCELLENT ✨ And was super impressed with the sausage barm, it was enormous and super tasty. Big love to the staff for putting a new great little business into Ainsdale :)
