Dukes Wine Bar & Bistro

The Duke is a gem. A place a felt really comfortable in. The roast dinners were all absolutely delicious and presented to a high standard, as were the starters. I enjoyed reading the menu !…. nice variety there.
I met the owners , they were really nice and the staff were on the ball! Just a great place to relax and enjoy good food and a nice atmosphere.

Just had the best roast I’ve had in years 12 of us had different meals and they all came out together the staff are really friendly and helpful Dukes is the place to go when in Ainsdale 👍👏👏👏

Had a lovely evening with my friends. Food great especially the deserts! Nothing too much trouble for the friendly staff. Highly recommended. Will be back soon.

I visited Dukes for lunch with my family. The food was delicious and the staff members who served us were very helpful and very friendly. We will certainly be visiting again soon.

Stopped in for a pint after getting off the train from the match on Saturday. Looks really clean and inviting from outside. Inside again is really tidy with great decor. Staff are really friendly and the bar supervisor Connor was very knowledgeable and helped my wife with her non alcoholic drink choice (mocktail 🙄🙄). Beer was good and will definitely aim to stop in more often

I rarely write reviews but I just had to for this place. We stumbled across it while travelling in our van, literally parked right outside and had the most amazing meal! The food was SO GOOD (we had the hummus + swedish meatballs from the small plates, then the burger + the curry for mains). Absolutely incredible honestly, best meal I've had in ages. The staff were super friendly, one of the lovely ladies even gave me recommendations of where to parkup that night! All in all was a 5/5 experience, if I'm ever round the area again I'll DEFINITELY be going back for that curry 🤤

Fabulous food, well presented, great menu and well priced for 5 star food. All staff very pleasant and efficient, add to all this a brilliant location what more could you ask for. Every time I have visited Dukes it never fails to impress. I would highly recommend this restaurant, if you haven't tried it yet, it is a definite must for foodies. The menu is excellent, varied and everything home cooked and freshly prepared. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself you will not be disappointed. Michael and Margaret are wonderful hosts.

I dont often leave a review for anywhere, however, me and my boyfriend have recently moved to the area and we had a meal here a couple of nights ago. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff were super friendly. I think we've found our new regular! Absolutely amazing, I couldn't recommend it enough!!

This has to be a 5 Star from me. If you get the chance go try the Sunday Roast Dinner do it... It was beyond delicious. The food was cooked to perfection. To start i had the chicken wings .. i literally didnt want them to end. Then the Gammon roast dinner … The roast potatoes were unreal, like propa homemade ones.(my mouth water writing about it).Then the eat & mess for dessert which was simply the icing on the cake .. The restaurant is gorgeous, the staff are so friendly and cant do enough for you. You walk away feeling very satisfied .already booked for next Sunday.

This was my first visit since it had changed to Dukes. The food was really nice and the service friendly. I'll happily return when I'm in Ainsdale again.

Decided to give this place a try and what a joy it was.
Beautiful food, lovely clean restaurant including very clean toilets.
The restaurant is warmly inviting with a great atmosphere probably due to its owners staff and the cleanliness throughout.

Just visited here again yesterday 23rd April and still amazing as ever.
Been here many times now and never had a complaint.
This time they had some lovely lamps on the tables. I thought they were candle holders until I touched the top of one and it lit up and you could change it into three different shades of white.

Dukes was recommended to us by a friend for Sunday lunch. We weren't disappointed. Food is fabulous, really good quality and well presented. Excellent service and lovely atmosphere and surroundings. We will definitely return.

Our first visit to this venue due to being turned away from a local place due to not booking. What a great bit of luck for us that we decided to venture out to Ainsdale as we discovered this little gem. No problems getting a table, customer service was exemplary and the food was absolutely amazing. I wanted to come back for the rest of the week to eat. Looking forward to coming back.

Very welcoming place, the waiters are lovely.
We tried the tapas and they were delicious.
It's going to be our place to go for a lovely meal or a glass of wine and a nice pint of Guinness in Ainsdale.

Portions are huge and excellent value for money.
