The Caledonian Claymore Hotel

Spent four nights from Feb 19th 2024
The room was small but very clean and warm. The bathroom had been refurbished with a large shower and lovely hot water . The twin beds were new and very comfortable. The meals were varied, and much better than I expected . Great breakfast as well. Would definitely return . We travelled with Caledonian coaches,our driver Gary was very knowledgeable about the area,and made our trips out very enjoyable. Overall a great five day break.

Gorgeous hotel. A little well worn, but it's in the middle of being refurbished. It's in an excellent location. Every single member of staff were excellent especially Steve the night porter showing kindness when needed. The food was very nice and plentiful. The bar area was so cosy with its large log fire. Perfect trip away

Undergoing a refurbishment so not all rooms are the same standard. Staff are very friendly. Food plentiful and lots of choice. Entertainment good. We saw Highland dancers and a singer. Loch view from our room with mountains in the distance. Worth a visit

Great value for your money. Staff were lovely and helpful. Evening entertainment was excellent. The food was nice and you had a good selection of drinks. The manager was very helpful. I would go back for that reason. Keep up the good work 👏

Absolutely loved our stay the staff were great and worked hard and Dean the singer was fab, food far exceeded our expectations and hygiene around food areas was great with a manager keeping check on everything was great to see, looking forward to our return and an easy 5 stars from all of us. Our bedroom was dated but who cares as get are slowly updating the rooms and the bed was really comfy which is all that matters.

Really nice hotel with amazing views. Room was basic but clean. Cosy lounge with a log fire, which was lovely for a winter stay. Well stocked bar. Breakfast was varied with both hot and cold options. Staff were amazing. It was just perfect.

We absolutely loved the claymore hotel. The rooms are a little tired looking however this is reflected in the price. The beds were lovely and comfortable and lovely fresh bedding daily. The food was lovely and served quickly, the staff we very helpful. We will definitely go back

We love this hotel, staff are friendly, food is lovely, entertainment is really good, great deal at the bar!! Going back 15th January, just over a weeks time, thank you Caledonian 😊 really good value 👍.

We had a Friday _ Monday stop.ever thing was spot on for our stop,the staff went out of their way to help!!!! The food excellent , rooms with a king size bed.
We went with Caledonian travel,the driver was excellent the trips excellent,the only fault was not good heating on the bus,this did not spoil the holiday at all

Fantastic hotel located in a picturesque location surrounded by mountains, forests and lakes. Rooms and meals excellent. Wonderful staff. Highly recommended.

Not alot to do in Arrochar, but not to worry as the trips are really good with brilliant drivers (Gary & Richard) who are both well informative. The staff were really helpful and attentive not a bother to anyone, Manager really welcoming on arrival and throughout. Yes the hotel is a bit tired but you need to understand they are in the midst of revamping it. Only critism is entertainment on a bit late especially as youve been out all day and feeling tired no need for bingo every night. Also need smoking area away from front door where the smokers congrigate

We have just had 5 wonderful days at the claymore. Yes it's a bit dated but they is going to be a refurbishment done.the food is good as is the staff who serve it. Beer and wines 🍷 👌 ok.For what we paid I was satisfied. Including the days out around the island you won't get any better sights thank you Caledonian claymore PS this is my umpteenth stay cheers 👍

Love this place went December 2023 going back again in April then again in December with Caledonian travel nice clean hotel good food , entertainment & a really comfortable bedroom & beautiful scenery

Having heard a few poor reviews. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a lovely hotel, staff very friendly and efficient, room 305 very comfortable, clean warm quiet walk in shower . Food choice excellent, 4 choices starter, main, sweet, waiter service...well done.., special shout out for Ollie the waiter, Elaine on reception...lovely people

Just done a short vacation to the caledonian claymore hotel with caledonian travel from west Yorkshire we booked a double loch view room which was clean and spacious and the views were fantastic looking over loch long with Ben Arthur and the cobbler in the background the hotel staff were very helpful and the meals plentiful the bar area was warm and cozy with a glowing fire we will be back .

The hotel has just been taken over by caledonian travel slowly but sure they are updating the rooms first of all the room was perfect clean we absolutely adored it so hot food was the best ever on a coach holiday beef bourginion home made soup congratulations to the chef moist chicken with haggis stuffing was superb staff fantastic I have paid more for one night at hotels than the price for 4 nights cabaret spot on well done

Really enjoyed my stay there bit dated but Caledonian are doing it up would love to go back in summer

Beautiful location , scenery breathtaking. Hotel staff excellent in all departments. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent with great choice of food. Entertainment was good on all 3 nights. Highly recommend this hotel for friendly efficient staff and very comfortable stay 👌 x

Just back after 4 days at the Claymore Hotel. Excellent value for money. Food really nice and lovely to have it served at your table instead of a buffet. Room nice but what made it for me was the lovely staff. Special mention to the bar staff,Petra and the one whose name I can't spell. Also Amelia who came to say goodbye to us on her morning off.
