Shapla Tandoori

Service was horrendous really really slow. Just poorly managed chaos. Regulars just laughed and this is normal. This place is in a remote Welsh village and packed with people happily queing into the Street and putting up with the Mayhem to get there turn. I had the chef special Lamb shank. I have eaten in many Indian restaurants and travelled around India. I was with a friend from India who is in the UK on work. And we both agreed it is probably some of the best Indian food we have ever eaten. Just INCREDIBLE. It really should get 5 stars. But you can't ignore the food.

Take away from here was outstanding. Couldn't fault a single thing. The flavour is out of this world. We always have food from here to celebrate anything, with food this good I wish we could just celebrate Saturdays but don't think I could get away with that!

Ordered a takeaway for 4 people, collection time was perfect! Food still super hot when we got home. Great flavours and plenty to choose from. Staff were super friendly

Absolutely amazing, the staff are kind and have a good sense of humour, the seating is comfy and the decoration is really pretty, I love the koi pond beneath the bridge! Food was delicious and I loved it. Truly recommend dining there.

Hand dinner here as a foursome whilst on holiday in wales.

Very nice meal with friends.
Can't fault the food, however service was poor. Our poppadoms didn't arrive, but after a reminder to the waiter they came. Drink service was slow, so my husband went to the bar to get a refill. The food was great though!.

Lovely lamb pasanda takeaway, huge bits of tender meat. Special fried rice is really great. Recently moved in near by so trying the place for first time and I can tell it'll become a firm favourite. Lovely friendly staff too. Great to have somewhere so nice so close

Ordered takeaway while on holiday. Absolutely delicious. Lamb tikka masala was something really special & lamb was very tender. Beautiful! & very reasonably priced. Portion sizes were great and all dishes were so fresh.

I took my family here over the Easter weekend. We were all super impressed with the food and we enjoyed our evening there very much. We will definitely be returning.

Great food and good service

I think you should always take reviews with a pinch of salt and experience it for yourself.. We have just had a meal from Shapla and it was tasty with out being greasy or highly coloured. I saw no correlation between the poor reviews and what i experienced. Our meal was full of favour and not one scrap was left over. I will return to this restaurant and i would highly recommend a visit should you be in the area. i should add the staff were pleasant to me

Arrived at the restaurant late, but they still allowed us to order and eat without being rushed. The food was lovely, good value. An interesting high light was the coy carp water feature in the middle of the restaurant. Very happy to eat there again.

EXCELLENT our favourite and will always recommend.
We have Dansak, korma and selection of starters and pompodom.
Everything is going up in price but this is our monthly treat and worth every penny.

Never had a bad experience, been ordering takeaway since moving to the area in November, always on time and always very friendly on the phone, looking forward to dining in. First got my first ever vindaloo from them when I was like 10 quality has stayed the same from what I remember. I regularly get a Chicken Vindaloo, Veg rice, portion of samosas and onion Baji. Found a customer for life here. Looking forward to a birthday meal out!

I had takeaway from here last Monday and the food was delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quick to come out. We had about a 10 minute drive home and the food was still piping hot. The food was the best I have had in a long time and wasn't greasy like some Indian places.

This was incredible. The food was amazing, the staff were lovely and the water inside the place was beautiful. I would 100% recommend.
