Very lovely cafe in the middle of Aberfeldy. Staff are friendly and kind. We ordered from the breakfast menu, everything was tasty. Highly recommend to try the cakes!

We visited at 3 pm on Sunday, and though due to closing at 3.30 pm, we were warmly welcomed in to take a seat. Ham & Three Cheese Toastie was a delicious combo on crunchy toasted bread - hit the spot on a cold, drizzly Sunday afternoon after a long walk. The cake selection is also plentiful - we opted for the sticky toffee apple crumble cake served with a generous side of cream. Service was friendly and fast.

Lovely little spot in Aberfeldy. Discovered whilst trying to find somewhere for breakfast which they do. Scrambled eggs were delicious and my partner enjoyed his breakfast roll. Coffee was also excellent. Went back a second day for some more coffee and were greeted with a welcome back from the staff and some local chat. Live music started up as we were leaving which was a really nice touch. It's a small cafe but one that offers alot - would recommend.

I was hoping to find a cafe for a cup of tea and maybe something else. I was delighted to find this place. The cafe was busy but I managed to get a seat. I was tempted by the strawberry cheesecake which was really good. There was a good turnover of people I thought the staff coped well.

We had a wee drive up over the Glen and ended up in Aberfeldy at the weekend. Kids were hungry as usual so we spotted the habitat cafe and popped in for a late lunch. Kids had toasties which they enjoyed and the little one had a sandwich. I had the mushroom soup which was delicious and we shared a huge plate of loaded fries. Cakes looked so good but unfortunately I was too full after the chips. I’ll have to come back another day for cake. Milkshakes for kids and lovely coffees and tea for the adults.
The staff were lovely.
Also the cafe was very cosy which is always a bonus in this weather.

Loved this place!

Great food. Great staff. Dog friendly - who even managed to wangle some free sausages.

The massala chai was lush.

Highly recommended if you are in town. Will definitely be coming back. This is how local business should be done.

Sat outside on a sunny morning and had possibly the best food in the whole of Scotland. Excellent service, very friendly. Food was delicious off the charts ... Even the Earl Grey tea came with a little egg timer so I know how long to brew it... A lovely little touch...

Fussy? Australians are as fussy about coffee as a full fed cat at a buffet of mice. But first things first, the coffee here is the best that this former Cafe billionaire has had outside of Australia, and better than most within our likewise invaded shores. The rest is pretty good...above the pack at least. So much so, that the optional 10pc surcharge (its so hard to get team members) that's already added is calmly welcomed. It's a big call to add this...you only get away with it if you're clearly the best.

Welcomed with smiles. I was absolutely starving and jumped in just before the lunch service ended. I still had an absolutely amazing meal!
My toastie hit the spot with oozing melted cheese, fab chutney, and a salad with pickled veg that made the whole thing sing.
A fabulous coffee to go with it, and a great pastry at the end for that sweet finish.
I can safely say I'll be back here everytime I'm in the area and your doors are open 😌

A little jewel. Great coffee. Fantastic service. Dog friendly and we were fortunate enough to have a live guitarist playing during our visit.

So the watermill cafe is no longer dog friendly, so where to go? We struck gold going here! Dog friendly (water & treat supplied), super coffee and a great range of tea. Our sandwiches were delicious, and we'll have to return to explore the rest of the menu.

Amazing food, great service, lovely atmosphere and very dog friendly. This place was a real surprise, the food is simple but incredibly well done and the staff are so friendly. Just a wonderfully welcoming place with very good simple food. A must visit!!!!

A decent place, slightly expensive, they also ask to leave tips, which is really bad and tourist oriented. It's already expensive (£10 for a sandwich), asking directly for tips is not a great customer experience.

UPD: tipping is ok. What's not okay is to create an awkward situation when a customer is asked for tips. It creates pressure because it's hard to say no. I doubt that this part of the service was never thought about, meaning you might intentionally put pressure on the customers.

UPD2: Sorry, I didn't want to be mean. That's why I said "you might put", instead of "you put". And yes, I was directly asked to leave a tip, I don't remember the phrasing exactly, but the member of your team just asked me something like "Would you like to include a service fee of N%?". The pressure is right there, for many people it would be hard to say no, even if they don't want to leave tips.
What really mean is appealing to my origin. I left my family and my friends because I don't want to be a part of this and because I don't want to pay taxes for this war to continue, and you have no right to tell me things you said. I made the sacrifice I could to stop that.

I'll change the rating form 3 starts to 5 stars so you won't bother anymore. Have a great day.
Also, I didn't say no and paid for the service.

Seriously the quality of the food is AMAZING. Very different than other places like this. It isn't cheap but worthy every penny as the food is so good. Even my kids loved the spiced carrots and red lentil soup.
I'm not very keen in a 'typical' British lunch (sanwiches, soup,..), but I really enjoyed today because the fresh and high quality food.
Special mention for the REAL masala chai tea.

Gorgeous café serving delicious food. We stopped by in a Monday morning for a late breakfast. Smashed avocado in sour dough toast was delicious, eggs Benedict and meaty breakfasts were also tasty; all beautifully presented and gluten free catered for. Chai to die for - whole fresh spices packing a punch flavour wise.

Dogs catered for indoors and out -ours had a bowl of water and a treat before we’d even taken our seats!

Screens inside make the small space as accessible as possible within current Covid guidelines but there’s ample outdoor seating looking out onto Aberfeldy’s town square. Gets busy during peak times which says it all.

Great atmosphere, coffee outstanding and lovely staff.

Second visit (after nearly 6 years!) was even better than the first, coffee still exquisite and cake, moist, fresh and delicious. We arrived at 14:59 unaware that they closed at 15:00 but wonderfully the lovely lady just said no problem and allowed us to order a much need coffee and cake, fresh OJ and Danish for my girlfriend (after wonderful hike up Schiehallion).

Could not have been more helpful or understanding of shattered hikers looking for rest and sustenance!

Highly recommended

Came across this little cafe and from the second we went in we had a first class experience. Very dog friendly. Friendly staff service. Then we come to the food. You'll have a dilemma. Pick your sandwich (I had the lovely breakfast) and then try to choose between rustic chips or soup - both exceptional.

After a nice walk at the Birks of Aberfeldy I was desperate for lunch, just a short distance away I happened upon the Habitat Café at the square Aberfeldy next to the cinema, I was greeted straight away by friendly staff, a very good selection of food for lunch but would also be great place just for coffee, there is approx 12 tables inside a there is outdoor seating in the Summer, this is the first cafe that I have visited that doesn't take cash, however that is not a problem they accept Google pay, Apple pay and the usual Cards, tips are still accepted in cash, very clean and welcoming place. Had a delicious breakfast here on a miserable rainy Sunday morning. The young lady serving is so polite and friendly, amazing manners, you can really tell everyone at the cafe is trying their best to make guests feel at ease with all the Covid measures in place. The eggs Hollandaise which was the special was to die for!! Super clean, homey and cosy!

Husband and I stopped in here with our westie pup. Service was excellent, the food menu looked delicious but we only had coffee and cake. I had the carrot cake, it was so tasty! Husband had a chocolate and beetroot cake he really enjoyed. Our westie was spoiled by the servers. Lovely decor. Hope to visit again at some point to try the toasties!
