Absolutely gorgeous food. One of the best meals that we have had in a long time. Butcher owned and all cooked by his wife. This place is a gem and you wouldn’t know about it unless someone tells you. Butcher owned and meals cooked by his wife, I highly recommend booking a table. All of the staff were lovely. Cannot fault the place at all, we will certainly be back! The owners took the time to talk to us about where we were from and seemed genuinely interested in our weekend away etc. The lamb shank was just perfection.

This place is like a well kept secret and you wouldn’t know about it unless someone tells you. Butcher owned and meals cooked by his wife, the food is some of the best pub food in the area and beyond! I highly recommend booking a table and making the trip out to Bromfield. Delicious food and the friendliest service from the Harrison family.

Absolutely fabulous. Exquisite food. Great atmosphere and surroundings. Will definitely be back. Liz is an excellent chef and Tony the perfect host. Do not change a single thing. Already looking forward to our next visit. 5 stars is not enough.

Tucked away in the corner, in the middle of nowhere, but possibly the best food weve eaten in the Lakes (or anywhere else in the UK for that matter)
Food was absolutely amazing, and very reasonably priced and generous portions.
Staff were all super friendly and the restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and the decor is wonderfully eclectic but sophisticated too.
We really enjoyed our visit here and would definitely return next time were in the Lakes.

Well we were in for a surprise. After a couple of days moving house we were tired and hungry so we decided to try this country pub. Not a bit of it walking through the door we could see this was not what we expected from a small country pub. The decor was excellent as were the staff which were very welcoming. The food was just what we needed and plenty of it. Prices vary reasonable. The only draw back was one us is vegan and although the staff bent over backwards to try and help she ended up with garlic bread and mash. As to the rest of us we could not be happier. Will we be returning you bet.

A busy restaurant, but still the owner, Tony,  found the time to offer a personal touch.  The  food was delightful, the service perfect and the whole experience definitely worthy of five stars. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have just had a lovely meal here. We both had steak, wich was cooked to perfection. Very filling and very tasty.

Superb. Expensive but wow its worth it. Be warned there is very limited parking and no dedicated spaces, you have to dump your car somewhere outside but we found a space no bother. Also you must book, it's a small place and with limited opening days and times I bet they fill up quick.

The staff are great, really lovely. The place looks really nice and well done. The food was really really nice, the starters themselves were so tasty I could eat them all day, mains and desserts just as good.

Would happily travel quite some distance to visit here again, however as we are from Birmingham it's just too far but will definitely plan this again when next in the area.

Paid just over £100 for 3 courses for 2 adults and a child.

Best steak I've ever had. Also known for superb pies. Fish starters were also superb, as were the desserts. Highly recommended.

Booked a table here for Saturday evening omg it was absolutely beautiful!! Its been a while since we were last here and we had forgotten how amazing the food is. Staff really nice . Can't wait to go back.

Visited on Saturday night, they managed to squeeze us in as we were late to book. Service was excellent, couldn't have been more helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. Will visit again.
