Lovely warm welcome and really attentive and pleasant service. Food was lovely but the twice fried chips were probably the best I've ever had. The rib eye steak was very thin and I didn't think they'd possibly have been able to cook it rare but they did! Very impressed. Lovely little village pub that's well worth visiting!

Lovely homely pub, great staff so friendly and helpful and friendly locals too.
Had a lovely meal and a couple of drinks, so relaxing. Got a back room for the visitors just wanting to watch the sports.

Cosy place, staff very attentive. The food was good too, what you would expect from a country pub.

Bit of noise coming from the pub as people watching football, but Saturday night, so expected tbh.

It's always a plus point that we can bring the doggo. She's generally quite anxious around new people but felt at ease due to how friendly an atmosphere the place has.👍

Very out of the way but outstanding service, Food was amazing Chef was friendly staff was helpful and friendly with a smile could not do enough for us very trusting opened a tap for us soon as we got there. Private parking. Food prices was fair for the quality and believe me you will not be disappointed 🙂 we had desert but we could hardly fit it in after are mains lol. Good beer 3 real ales two guest ales and one thats of always (courage) they use a spirinkler but top the beer up if head is to big. What a hidden gem! The food was amazing & reasonably priced given that the portion sizes are massive. Coco the dog & I were made to feel really welcome & I would definately recommend this pub to anyone staying in the area. Well done team, you're all amazing.

Popped in for a quick drink late afternoon, nice fire on, good beer and a genuinely warm welcome (without being over the top). Didn’t eat, so can’t comment on food but menu looked good.

Stayed down the road from the pub for 2 weeks.
Hands down one of the best pubs we’ve ever come across. The staff are so welcoming and Hal the barman is great!
Excellent range of alcohol free drinks which was very impressive for an independent pub.
The food is excellent, great range of vegetarian/vegan/ gluten free options again super impressive for an independent village pub and really good value for money!
Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting!

What a fabulous little pub. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The steak I had was incredible, the best I've had. My son enjoyed his pizza. Love that it's dog friendly.

I was very impressed with this great local pub. I had the pleasure of dining there and I was not disappointed. Not overly complicated food which is amazing and very very tasty. Smashing selection of ales too which is a bonus. Thank you guys, I will be returning 👍🏻🙌🏻

Went on a whim but we were not disappointed. The food was great and reasonably priced. The owner his wife and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Pubs like this need to be treasured or else they’ll disappear. If we are this way again this pub will definitely be visited

Lovely pub with welcoming owner, staff and locals. We are here and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious curry. It was so tasty and all the extras like the poppadom and chutney were a lovely touch. They were also very dog friendly.

Friendly and helpful staff, offering a great selection of drinks and delicious food. They were able to squeeze us in arriving without a booking on a busy Saturday evening, although would recommend booking at least a day ahead normally! They provided a delicious dinner for our group. Definitely an asset to the village and surrounding area, worth visiting if you’re staying nearby.

What a find in a nearby village the Masons Arms. Al and Andy were very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, all fresh vegetables no frozen in sight, menu prices were very very good. A great atmosphere with beams and log burner. A great place to relax after your meal. No pressure to leave your table just sit and chat with the locals. A big bonus was they are very dog friendly. Al and Andy have made a fantastic job since taking over from previous tenant/owner in 2021. We wish them every success for the future and for thier hard work.

A lovely place to visit. The staff were amazing with our 22 week old staffy. We were a little worried as he had never been in a pub for a meal, and they made us feel comfortable and made a fuss of our little man.
The food was also amazing and had a few veggie meals that were different from the usual veggie lasagna etc. all in all a great place to visit. Shane we don’t live in the village as it would be our local.
Big thanks to all the staff for welcoming us to your lovely pub.

We popped in here on the way back from the viking festival. What a find ! The landlord was welcoming and efficient. Pie and peas were yummy. Excellent value for money. Please use it or we will loose it.

It's a wonderful warm hospitable pub with welcoming landlord/landlady. Great food and terrific warm fire. We had roast beef fit for a king, yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes with a bevvy of vegetables. Good selection of real ales and wines. Comfortable seats. Our dog was welcome to sit under the table too. It's obviously the hub of the village frequented by locals and holidaymakers. Well worth a visit. Delightful.
