Moor Dental & Implant Clinic

This was my first visit to Moor Dental & Implant Clinic as a new patient. Nerves always kick in with me when I have to visit the dentist. However, on first seeing the building where the dentist is housed, forgot about my nerves. On stepping inside, I was aware of the feeling of spaciousness. The two ladies on reception greeted me with a cheerful smile and we had a chat. I was 1.5 hours early for my appointment and as it was raining asked if I could sit inside. This was no problem. I was directed upstairs to a lovely, high ceiling waiting room (good for me because I suffer from claustrophobia). Don't worry if you can't get upstairs because they have downstairs room. Well I hadn't been sitting very long when the dentist, Elisa came into the waiting room and said she could see me early, fantastic. Elisa and her assistant where great and Elisa did a thorough examination and x-rays. I am going to enjoy going to this practice and look forward to my visit in 6 months time as it is very important to keep your teeth looked after and your dental hygiene up-to-date.

What a fantastic Clinic. I have had an infected wisdom tooth which was incredibly swollen and the pain excruciating.
I tried my local dentist in Totnes, who despite stating on their website, that they welcomed emergency cases, turned me away. The moor clinic had me booked in straight away and the wonderful dentist whipped out the tooth and sent me on my way. A total blessing.
I am subsequently signing up with their practice. Thank you so much.

Moor Dental Clinic in Ashburton will be getting top stars from me, for a number of reasons.
1. I know not everyone is a fan of the dentist. But when I was introduced to Elisa, who is the dentist and Pascal, who is the hygienist at the dentist they gave me the support and the guidance that I needed whilst in the chair at the dentist due to past experiences.
2. The receptionists are at delight and they really welcome you as you come into the practice and make you feel like you're in a safe space where is sometimes in the dentist it can be quite daunting.
3. It's one of the nicest Practices Going. Because the atmosphere is just delightful..
4. Back to Elisa and Pascal, At one of my appointments, I was informed that I Have a choice, whether to have a tooth removal or a root canal. Dentist, hygienist and reception were able to guide me through the processes and understand which would be the most useful. When it came to choosing I chose to have a tooth removal and I was so anxious due to the last time I was sedated for a filling at a previous dentist, I felt every pain. Elisa and Pascal, guided me through the procedure. They stopped when I needed to stop, and they were so supportive at the end Even felt less nervous now going to the dentist.
5. Unfortunately, I struggled with pain quite a few days after the tooth extraction and I went back to Moor Dentals and I was seen promptly. Elisa has a good look at area and was able to say I was looking after the area well and made me feel supported. she placed a clove in the gap to sooth the pain. This was again a remarkable experience from the dentist and the nerves are calming down so much when the thought of needed to go to dentist again.

Had to take my son for a emergency appointment today, i can not rate/thank them high enough they were amazing and understanding of the situation. Elisa was so good with my son and he left happy which for a child who is very anxious in new environments and takes a long time to trust people was amazing. So thank you 😊

The new hygienist is very personable and the nurse looks after you. I felt more pampered than a trip to the hairdressers.

I saw a really wonderful dental hygienist called Clare at this practice today (4th January 2024) who was brilliant, explained everything she was doing and didn't make me feel bad for sensitivity on my teeth but accommodated my needs by switching to manual cleaning when the machine was too painful on my sensitive teeth. Thank you so much, Clare, you're truly excellent at your job and have brilliant bedside manner that really makes all the difference!

Elisa and her assistant were both outstanding as I’m a nervous patient and suffer from white coat but they were very understanding and put me at ease throughout my treatment

I was suffering from tooth and jaw pain on the day ,I visited the Moor dental practice in Ashburton and I was given a emergency appointment straight away. The receptionist was very understanding with my problems .The dentist was.very professional and caring and treated me with antibiotics and give me advice on what to do if my jaw got worse over the weekend. I was very grateful for all the help.Thanks

Was so pleased with the dental care (all explained, discussed, and planned each time) I was receiving from the dentist I was attending in PLYMOUTH, that, when he moved from the practiice, I immediately signed up With his new practice, Moor Care, in Ashburton, 45 mins drive away, to ensure I could still rely on the high quality which I had been so happy with.
