The Hub is a special place. Cathryn and Tony are incredibly welcoming and made my daughter's first trip to Wales and stay in a B&B a wonderfully comfortable and happy one. We had the twin room with its spacious private bathroom across the hall. Super comfortable beds, hot shower, even some chocolates in the room!

But it is truly a hub of the village. During our delicious breakfast, the cafe was visited by lots of locals and you could tell that the Hub is cherished by them and as they say, if the locals like it it must be good!

Thank you so much and I hope to visit again with my family!

Found this place on Maps when looking for a spot for something to eat and use the loo, so I can only comment on our experience as visitors rather than folk who stopped the night.

Peaceful area, lovely atmosphere, friendly owners and patrons, and yummy homecooked food. What more could you ask for!

They double up as a post office and (triple up?) as a shop to grab some basic groceries and knick knacks. We got a jar of local honey and some Welsh cakes.

They've got a little section of children's toys (bears, wooden blocks, etc) for kids to play with while you're there and a couple of shelves of books, both fiction and non fiction, for you to read while you eat/drink.

Highly recommend for locals AND semi-lost tourists like us!

All you can ask for from a B&B, nice location, nice owners, great value, and amazing breakfast. The room I stayed in was a self contained basement room, nicely modernised with an ensuite. Good selection of tea and coffee provided, with complimentary cookies and chocolates too! I will definitely look to stay here again when I have more time to explore the nearby walks :)

We had a spacious room with double bed, sofa, TV and ensuite bathroom. The room was self contained and the floor was completely tiled which was excellent for us as we had a dog with us. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep.
Breakfast the next morning was served in the PO which is part of the hub and run by the same owners. There were several tables, neatly set out for breakfast with white tablecloths. There was a cooked breakfast which was well cooked and ample but also cereal, fruit juice and toast.
Cathryn our host could not have been more helpful.
After we had checked out we took a beautiful stroll along the river that runs thro Abercraf. We came to Brecon to do the 4 Waterfalls Walk and we could not have picked a better place than the hub to stay. The Abercrave Inn is only 10 mins walk away and we enjoyed a great meal there on the evening of our stay

Called in for breakfast on a Monday morning and received a lovely welcome. The vegetarian breakfast was superb and extremely reasonably priced. Will definitely return in the future.

We visited the community cafe and received a warm welcome, bacon sandwiches and fresh coffees. There was local produce available for sale and we bought a handmade face mask which was being sold to raise funds for the local community. So pleased a local recommended this cafe to us! 😍

Me and my friends were on our way back from camping in the Brecons, and were dying for a cooked breakfast. This was the closest place on Google maps, and boy did we find a gem. Super friendly staff, very reasonable prices, lovely food and a great community atmosphere.

Lovely little self catering unit. Nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors. Very comfy bed and a wonderful experience all round.
