We came for a Sunday dinner before which was amazing, everyone said the ribs are just as good so went back on Valentine’s Day!
Honestly the nicest ribs we’ve ever had! Couldn’t fault the food or service! The manager and waitress (didn’t get her name) were so friendly and had a laugh with them!
Can’t wait to go back for the ribs again! Thank you all for making our valentines really special!

Outstanding quality Christmas dinner, the duck intermediate course is particularly worth a mention.
Well spaced courses with no rush at all, would highly recommend. Had to have desserts to take away as couldn’t eat another thing! Thank you

Lovely Sunday lunch carvery. Meats cooked to perfection and veg piping hot. Couldn't fault it. We particularly enjoyed the chocolate fudge cake!

Update: Return visit today. Everything was just as perfect as the first visit. Would definitely recommend you to visit.

Sunday dinner is lovely. Served as a carvery you get served the meat and you pick everything else you want.

Service was great and for what you pay it exceeds expectation. This was our 4th or 5th visit and we would definitely visit again.

Had Sunday dinner, lovely friendly staff. Really generous portions of meat 🍖 it was lovely I had beef and gammon. Vegetables were nice and the gravy was tasty 😋 Best dinner I've had in a while. Will definitely be going back.🙂

The food here is top class, I had the ribs and they are close to the best I have ever had, the sauce was sticky and had a kick as I picked the hot ones. The meat fell off the bone as soon as I picked it up, nice sweet potato fries too. My wife had the 12oz rump museum and was cooked to perfection and the cut was fab!
Dessert was home made white chocolate & Lime cheesecake, wow it was outstanding I just wish I didn’t have too share it. If your in the area go here!!

Me and the family come for food today and it was absolutely brilliant.
Starters was like a main (ha) all food was cooked perfectly and hot and was great value for money!!
We will definitely be coming again in the new year.

First time here and on business wasn’t that hungry but I had the starter and it was really good ! The pork was melting in my mouth and the sauce was divine ! The salad had the most unusual vinaigrette but combine with the taste of the pork sauce was excellent

Brilliant sized portions of very tasty food and even though it was busy when we arrived the food was ready very quickly. The FOH staff seemed a little inexperienced but still did their jobs well.

This was my first visit to the restaurant and it catered perfectly, there were 12 of us. Every meal was delicious, beautifully presented and each course was consisted of high quality food. We stayed for the live band who were excellent. I would highly recommend it.

The ribs are a must i don't even bother looking at the menu .....cant go there and not order them. The sweet potato fries and cheesy garlic bread are a must with a nice pint of carling black cider to wash it down. The pitchers are a good price nice selection of cocktails. Such a good atmosphere. 100% my favourite pub right now. Gets very busy on a Friday and Saturday which I love so end up staying out.

Ribs of Heaven!

The ribs at this place are absolutely outstanding, it feels like a secret formula they taste that good, not to forget the great atmosphere that has been built up in the new restaurant area, hats off to Hans for making all customers feel welcome and Dean too for being such a wonderful chap, I’ll happily return here for more food that’s for certain

Had a Sunday carvery, plenty of meat is served rather than 2 or 3 Slices at other places. The meat was very well cooked, plenty of vegetables and gravy. Will definitely be coming back here for a Sunday roast.

One of the best pubs in Ystradgynlais, especiallyfor food. But then, the competition is not exactly 'fierce' in Ystrad. 😂
The staff were very helpful and kind, some of the best I've experienced.
The food was good, but the portion sizes are...American.
I wouldn't recommend a starter no matter how hungry you are. People just aren't designed to eat that much.

Stunning food again, even though very busy with mothers day, staff were amazing. X
