The food here is really good...would recommend to everyone. Well worth visiting. Really nice staff who are friendly and efficient. Only small but has enough seating for around 20 inside with outside seating on the front for another 10+. Recommend the salads. Always got good specials on and always very reasonably priced.

Absolutely Fantastic little eatery. So much choice and freshly made to order. If I could give 6 stars I would. Highly Highly recommended (and thanks to the young lady who ran after us when my daughter left her cuddly toy on the table)

How have I never been here before!!! Some of the best food we’ve had in a long time!! Great menu, fantastic staff and a nice atmosphere. Do not walk past this place, it’s a real hidden gem. Plus the apple pie 🥧 was excellent. See you soon 👌

Excellent service and food. We had a table of six and none of us could fault any of our three courses. Incredibly tempting menu. So much so that my wife and me split our venison and pheasant. Both were superb.
My son had breakfast here last week and love it.

Very friendly and decent menu for a small cafe. Very reasonable prices. Good place for those visiting Riverside park.

Sampled the bistro on a Saturday evening and was very impressed. Great ingredients, beautifully cooked to order in a relaxed and friendly setting. Reasonably priced. Not to be missed if in the area. For once somewhere that is as good as the reviews (or better).

Hi, popped into the Black Pig for a spot of lunch and was quietly surprised at just how good the food was, myself and my wife both had a small breakfast which was beautifully cooked and at a very decent price.
The interior is very unusual want sure if it was a bar or a café but it was great and if we are over that way again will definitely be calling in.

Went on a friends recommendation
3 adult meals and drinks for less than £30... but quality and service was still good.
Lunch menu is reasonable and dinners looked good, although limited menu (that's how you keep prices down on fresh food!)

It was busy but we still found a table straight away and took about 20 mins from order to eating.

Some searing outside if the weather is good, but I've often noticed that gets taken first when the weather is good.

Overall would definitely visit again

Lovely place! Good for money, lovely food great hot chocolate! Fantastic chef and lovely waitress. Gina was our waitress and she was very accommodating as we was at work supporting a child.

Food is fantastic, freshly made, fairly priced and so tasty.
Staff are so accommodating, friendly and make you feel like family.

It's the only cafe I know who makes hot chocolate...sorry..HIT chocolate, not lukewarm

Amazing menu, great food.

There is a lovely informal atmosphere in the place. A very small scale operation but the food is top class. Some familiars on the menu but also some new experiences. The venison was the best that I have ever tasted.....very happy! !

Food we've had from here has always been of a consistently high standard and fairly priced. Their takeaway option is useful too. There's generally a very tempting array of home-made cakes on the counter also. Wi-Fi available for customers.
