My wife and I just had an incredible breakfast here. We were very well looked after, we couldn’t fault it at all. Food was delicious and coffee was spot on. Love their ethos of supporting Hampshire Fayre. I’ve been looking forward to trying their homemade hash browns for months and they did not disappoint! Thanks dill.

I stopped at dill on a Saturday afternoon with some friends for lunch and a catch up. It’s in a great position in central Alton and is in a beautiful old character building. It was bright, modern and clean inside, and there were plenty of tables - which is good as it’s a popular place.

The menu has plenty of options and it was difficult to choose what I fancied as it all sounded so good! I settled on their chicken burger which came with fries and coleslaw. It was absolutely delicious, and the portion was very generous too.

The service was friendly and efficient, and overall we had a fantastic lunch. I will definitely return again when visiting Alton, and I would highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere nice for breakfast or lunch.

Possibly the best avocado toast I've ever had? The pickled chillies and sourdough were outstanding.

Wonderful little cafe, a real gem in the heart of Alton. Really friendly staff and amazing food. We had the house burgers, which were really tasty and great chips. Love that they have tried to source the food locally. It’s very popular so getting a table can be tricky, but we hung around in the square for a bit and we were lucky to get a spot. Hope to be back again soon.

Friendly, and warm, staff. Falafel wrap and coffee were on point and the decor/views were perfect. Definitely will be back next time we’re passing through Alton. Must go for lunch!

This little cafe/coffee shop is amazing. How welcoming could they be. With a smile from start to finish. We only popped in for a quick drink.
But certainly will be going back. Quality was amazing.

Very happy to have this gem in Alton.

Great quality food with a focus on local ingredients and nicely presented. Customer service is excellent - Trish may be busy making coffees, but she always welcomes her customers with a big smile.

Dog friendly too.

We stopped by today, as we had always seen it looked busy and went in to try. We hadn't booked but it was no trouble to get a table. It was cleaned down immediately and we ordered the food. The people are friendly, it's such as lovely atmosphere and the food was superb and so reasonably priced. Think we will be visiting again! 😀

Recommended to us so we popped in here for tea and cake on Friday. Great to see a choice of dairy free cakes on offer. I usually struggle to find any dairy free in other establishments. The cakes were lovely too! The cafe caters well for intolerances / allergies. We would definitely recommend and look forward to our next visit.

This is the first time I've visited and was blown away by how good it is. There's a great selection of locally produced food and homemade cakes. I started with mixed roast herby mushrooms with Herby marscopone sauce and a poached egg on sourdough toast. It was divine. The raspberry cake to follow was equally excellent. I will definitely be going back again as there are so many other tempting things to try on the menu.

My first visit today ! Food and service was great. My kfc burger was delicious, chips were seasoned and crispy and the homemade coleslaw was full of all sorts of different vegetables. Everything was freshly made & beautifully presented. They get very busy, so make sure you get there early or book a table. Highly recommended !

What a wonderful experience from start to finish. Just loved it. You have to try the cheese and bacon jam toasty, I am still salivating about it. Excellent, cannot wait to go back

Whilst on a “road trip” from the south west, we stopped briefly in Alton while on our way to Farnham
So glad we did. Otherwise wouldn’t have discovered Dill.
What a find, and such a unique menu, so tasty, and bloody good coffee too.
So good, It will be a detour next time we head up from the Devon.

I've resisted writing a review as it's my wife's business and I know how it appears. But she's done such an amazing job and assembled an incredible team, there's no bias in this now. It's a café that picks through the details of every dish, be it smoking their own pastrami, making fresh herb oils, or sourcing pretty much everything from the the same county. This is a rare thing and the town has fully embraced it. Last night I went to their 'Classic Pairings' supper club and ate food worthy of rosettes. In a cafe. This is what hospitality is all about, and it's great seeing people's reactions to what Trish has built. She works hard and it shows in the product. Eat here with confidence, and book yourself on to a supper club!

Best place for coffee, brunch and lunch in Alton. Great menu, great food and lovely atmosphere and service. Visit regularly and would highly recommend. The dill bowls are a favourite but also really enjoyed the new sweetcorn fritters with avocado and halloumi ☺
