I like that it was more of a conversation. It was very holistic and less clinical but the same time very encouraging. The social aspect was very good. I felt like I wasn't alone in my weight loss journey and that I wasn't being judged that I was being supported and Tousen My health advisor was very kind and very approachable. I would recommend this to other people as well. I feel more capable heading in the future that I have a more sustainable plan in order to lose the way and then after maintain it in a healthy, sustainable way.

I am patient for star lane. I am very satisfied with the all services from the reception, doctor and all staff members. Yesterday I have spoken to Mrs. Augusta. She was explaining everything and the way she was talking was good. I know her from the beginning. She was doing project very well and professional. O don't have any complaint about her and 10 out of 10 service.

Suzie is the most kindest person I have ever met. She is so helpful, kind & understanding she is brilliant at her job . Suzie has really helped me a lot without her being there I honestly don’t know what I would have done I was in a really dark place she helped me to see that their was light at the end of the tunnel.i will always be grateful for her being there when I felt so alone. We need more people like her .
I am now on the right road getting my life back in order which I could not have done without her support

I have been a patient at starlane over a year, I have a lot of health and social issues. Mrs Augusta Adu has been very supportive and listened to my concerns. I got help with my benefits, blue badge. I join the Star garden when I'm available and that has been a great way to reduce my isolation and support my mental health. One happy patient ☺

When I first was referred to this service, I was sceptical and I really didn’t want to go, I kept cancelling appointments and making excuses as to why I couldn’t go. Anyway fast forward to today. Thus service and support I had from Tosin was amazing. We worked together throughout this process and I haloed me have a sense of purpose I have managed to achieve some of the things we talked about and worked on and in short it gave me a kick up the backside! Thank you Tosin this is not good bye it’s thank you for remaining a voice at the other end of the line if I need it ❤❤

The staff at Star Lane are generally very friendly and courteous. Suzy, whom I dealt with today was amazing in providing information and explaining things to me. Her advice was sound and I could tell she was knowledgeable on the topic as well as her concern and care about my issues.

I have been coming to this surgery for nearly 20 years, and when I hear people swearing at the staff I think they should go abroad and see how the health service is and what it costs.

Unsure why the low rating on here but my experience has been very good with this medical centre. Booked multiple appointments via the website and always got one the next day. The receptionists have always been kind with a smile on their face and never waited more than 5mins once I got there. Dr. Chung was so empathetic, professional and knowledgeable. While I very much hope I don’t need to go back anytime soon, if/when I do I know I’ll be in safe hands.

I was required to provide evidence from GP with my diagnosis for Blue badge application and Augusta listened carefully to me and wrote a letter based on my records and my comments.
I've got my blue badge that helps a lot and I am very greatful for the kindness and understanding she showed to me.

I have a really good experience with the attention received by the social prescriber Mrs Adu. I felt she listened to me carefully and treated me with respect and Kindness, very professional and always willing to help. I have been patient of star Lane for more than 12 years and I highly recommend it excellent Team.

Brilliant staff and doctors...never had a problem with bookings or seeing a doctor in person..friendly staff..very helpful..polite and very efficient.

Had completed 6 sessions with my Health and Welfare coach Tosin Ademokoya, each session really helped me a lot in getting my health on track and i’m ready to continue what i learned in the future

I met Suzy at my Dr surgery.She is very easy to talk to and very professional.If I ever have any other issues from now on. She would be the person I would want to deal with it.

I've been a patient at Star Lane Medical Centre (SLMC) since 2018. This is the first time I wrote a detailed review for a medical centre. Because I strongly believe SLMC is a truly exceptional service that deserves recognition!

Here are my reviews of my overall interaction with them:
Booking and Appointment:

- Online form – I like SLMC's new medical form, it’s user-friendly and I can quickly explain my symptoms with all the prompts provided by the software. I can complete the form in <10mins, which is a significant time-saving compared to having to speak to someone over the phone!

- Appointment slot – almost all of the time, I’m being given phone appointments within 3- 4 working days. However, they also offered an in-person appointment if they think you’ll be benefited from a physical examination. I do like that you can indicate your preferred Dr to see.

- Phone/receptionist – occasionally, I’ve to phone SLMC to confirm my prescription/letter request etc. The waiting time varies between 5-20mins, but they have the option of you to “save your queue number” and receive a callback. It’s a great initiative. This could be improved by the call back not being hung up after only 2-3 dial tones.

Interaction with GP/Nurses/Other staff:

- GPs & Nurses – I’ve seen various GPs & nurses in the last 4 years. I’m particularly impressed by Dr Fang and Dr Gilligan who’s been supporting me before and during pregnancy. They made you feel heard, and cared for and include you in the decision-making for your treatment. They won’t hesitate to advocate for you if they think you are being ‘forgotten’ by the hospitals/other services that they referred you to. I also accompanied my husband to regular post-surgery appointments from May-June 21. I’m impressed by the care, dignity and compassion shown by the nurses in this GP. A special shout out to Nurse Shahima who’s not just excellent in her work, but truly cares for her patient’s condition and recovery.

- Admin/Reception staff – this has been kept to a minimum since the introduction of the online form. There are some exceptional admin staff who’ll go above and beyond for you. However, an improvement can be made in their approach behind the glass wall (e.g. volume when discussing patient’s conditions).

Overall, Despite NHS’s limited resources, I'm impressed by the team's efficiency and care! It’s not easy to balance both, but Star Lane GP has shown in the past 4 years they are worthy of 5* reviews. They should be given an “OUSTANDING” rating by CQC for their services!

I find the receptionist very friendly and helpful. The Doctors also are very helpful on the telephone conversations but l do miss not speaking to the doctors in surgery. Will it ever go back to how it was before COVID?
