There is a car park on the opposite side of the road so it's easy to access, a lovely spot to stop and tour if your travelling around the area, it's full of interesting information on how it would have looked and run back in the day, as well as a lovely little waterfall running right next to it!

The Dyfi Furnace is a historic site that dates back to the 18th century, when it was used to smelt iron ore. It was later converted into a Sawmill, powered by water from the River Einion.

The building is now closed to the public and serves as a sanctuary for Lesser Horse Shoe Bats. However, it is still worth a visit. You can park across the road in a scenic spot where you can enjoy a picnic by the stream and the waterfall.
You can also see the Water Wheel and the exterior of the Furnace, and learn about its history from the information boards. There is not much else to see inside, but it is still a fascinating glimpse into the past.

Interesting spot to stop, nothing to do other than a quick walk around and view the waterfall and culvert but super interesting.

Every time I pass this place I have to stop, this time did not dissapoint the water was roaring over the fall and you stand right next to at the top off the steps. Great chance for some photography.

Very informative. Lots of excellent visual explanations of how it all worked, smashing intact waterwheel and the added bonus of the falls behind and the smaller ones en route to the car park.

Amazing historical place.
Harnessing the power of the River Einion, the furnace’s waterwheel drove a huge set of bellows. These huffed and puffed compressed air into the furnace, creating the scorching temperatures needed to process the ore into pig iron, much of which was sent to forges in the Midlands.

A fantastic waterfall for photography.

Large carpark across the road. Take care when crossing the road as it can be quite busy.
