The staff at Formby Cycles were superb. I can whole-heartedly recommend them.

Prior to visiting Formby Cycles, I had tried six bike shops in Chester and none offered the customer service or range of bikes that I found here. I test rode several bikes on the Saturday, ordered my preferred option on the Tuesday and collected my new Lady the following Saturday. Brilliant.

In addition to the bike, I bought pedals, clothing and accessories and received the same service consideration throughout.

I purchased a bike from Evan's Cycles a few months ago. Staff assured me it suited all of my requirements. After paying £450, rode it to Southport station and knew immediately, this isn't the bike for me, handle bars were far too low. Rang the store only to be told there was nothing they could do. This was obviously disappointing. Since purchase it had been sitting in the garage. Visited Formby Cycles on Thursday. Phil was AMAZING! Told me to bring the bike in, which I did. Phil extended the handle bars, made a few adjustments, bike is now perfect for me.
Can't thank Formby Cycles enough, honest, reliable and friendly service.
I know where I'll be making any future purchases, and recommend other readers do the same.

Amazing experience today at FORMBY CYCLES, the staff member who served me was very helpful & his knowledge was 1st class, no pushy sales, just a genuine chap with a heart of gold. Excellent bike shop, always help me out with some last minute repairs with quick turn around and great communication, essential for my sons downhill bike he races.

It is so hard to find decent cycle shops with good stock levels. For by cycles is one of those places. It’s a bit of a trek for me to get there but we’ll worth it to visit as they are well stocked, well laid out and helpful.

Been here on a couple of occasions recently and had a really positive experience. I purchased a mix of clothing/accessories/nutrition and found the staff helpful and knowledgeable on all fronts. A particular mention for the young man who helped me out (Ty) - polite, knowledgeable and extremely helpful, he's a credit to your store.

Well I’ve been riding for over 15 years mainly XC and enduro as most of you know how much maintenance they need so I took my enduro that I’d neglected in thinking I’d have to put the bike down, but to my absolute joy they resurrected it, she looks brand new changed BB, hope hub service , Hope brakes spokes the lot and more that needed to be done, got to say at the most reasonable price, that iam very glad to pay. The staff up there are all riders but treat you like one of there mates but also fair towards you! it is a business at the end of the day, Everything costs now but what I received was worth every penny. Can not thank Phil and the lads enough professional knowledge is top draw, quality parts and full explanation with the old parts that’s rare. Thank you formby cycles I’ll go no where else

I decided to buy an electric mountain bike. Formby cycles had the one I wanted (Trek Rail 5) and I agreed to come in and buy one - but I wasn’t sure whether I needed a medium or a large, as I am “borderline” between the two sizes. I spoke with Phil who said I could come and try both once they were fully assembled. Over the course of two visits Phil really went the extra mile to help me pick the best fit. I rode both, Phil adjusted the set up several times, measured the bikes compared to my existing bike, even taking photos of me riding both to help me pick the best size for me. Phil spent lots of time making sure I was happy with my choice. Really excellent customer service, no pressure selling and great support in the set up and instructions for the new bike. Thank you.

Always had great service for installation of parts or repairs on my road bike from the team at Formby Cycles, in a few cases I even had the bike back on the same day. Would highly recommend using them. 👌🏼🚴🏼‍♂

We visited today. These guys are amazing. Helped to ensure my daughters bike was the correct size, adjusted the size of the seat for both our bikes which we had bought online. Helped us to buy the correct size helmets and gave us advice about the tyres and car racks. They know so much about bikes and helped to ensure our bikes were safe on the road. We will definitely be returning customers 👍

Excellent service from Allen at Formby Cycles for helping me decide on what bike to buy. The bike was ready to collect next day and has had no issues.

I visited Formby Cycles yesterday after trying and failing to remove a cassette using my cassette tool. The guy stopped working on what he was doing straight away and 2 minutes later handed me back my wheel with a loosen cassette and didn't charge me a penny.

I took my cannon dale bike into Formby Cycles on Saturday 01st july as I was having problems with my gears and I needed the bike for The liverpool Chester bike ride on Sunday 2nd july I spoke with Phil and Ty they assured me it would be repaired within a couple of hours I picked the bike up repaired and ready to go I completed the bike ride with ease the bike was perfect Well Done Phil well done Ty Well done Formby Cycles great service Thanks again Dave Willo 👍

Great service along with very friendly staff.

I was on a ride from Southport to Liverpool this weekend and I had trouble with my gears and cassette. I stopped here and asked the mechanics if they could take a look at it for me. They were very busy in the workshop but still managed to fit my bike in very quickly and resolved the issue. This was all in done in good time and with a friendly smile.

Could not ask for more to be honest. I will definitely return.

Excellent customer service, I asked for a couple of accessories to be fitted to my bike which was completed in a very quick timescale. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable.
