Really friendly community hub and café. Welcoming, flexible (people ordering off menu) and a relaxing place to pop in to. Community groups, free internet café for job seekers and signs encouraging those to can afford it to leave the cost of a coffee or menu item for someone who can't.

A jewel of a find to stumble across!

Proper English food, strong coffee, good peoples, and magic bows that are works of art.

Beautiful community cafe, delightful atmosphere. Lovely staff, great food and has a very good price tag that comes for its food. They offer a pay-it-forward concept, which I found very unique and sweet for it's community, definitely check it out!

Great place. Community coffee where you can find good food at a great price. Staff is really kind and the whole place has a nice atmosphere, with activities aimed at those less fortunate of the community.

You can pay in advance for any item on the menu, so other people can have a coffee or a sandiwch.

The Bowl of Magic is a great dish, but I would recommend buying the small one, the medium is HUGE.

It's a must visit for tourist, so you can see a different face of London.

One of the best cheap eats in docklands. The food is well served and service is very good. The decor is nice with some live music gigs from time to time. A good place to check out if you are around the area esp. during the 2012 games.

What can I say, it's my local community cafe. Its fantastic. Great food and wonderful staff. Good place to sit and relax. Have a suspended menu where those who have can pay for items for people that don't currently have means.
So even if you short but just need to get put and be around people rather then be isolated for lack of funds you can come in and get a tea and a sandwich. And who knows maybe when things look up for you. You can do the same for someone else.

Fantastic little cafe that has reasonable prices for their breakfasts and lunches. They host great events like a gig night and quiz nights. Conveniently located to nearby Prince Regent DLR Station and local buses, not to mention a short walk from the soon to be Custom House Crossrail (Elizabeth Line) station (hopefully open later this year 🤞). Well worth a visit.

They also do external catering from £2 per head and the food is just brilliant.

I cannot recommend this cafe highly enough! 5 stars do not do it justice!

Been looking for somewhere like this for a good while. A cafe for locals doing proper food at proper prices. The place and the people who run it are friendly and socially aware of the locals they serve. Long live the Garden. I've a very happy belly after leaving here!

Lovely community cafe frequented by locals. Excellent breakfast but their 'magic bowls' look amazing (fruit, yoghurt, granola). Very friendly and rediculously cheap. Go hunt it out! SO much better than the 'chains' around the excel. 5*

Not often you come across places like this. Friendly, excellent value, really interesting decor, very special place. How often do you go to a regular cafe for a Jacket potato and get offered a choice of meat or Vegan Chilli con/non Carne?

Highly recommended. Make a point of going there.

This place is amazing. Nothing to do with the London busy and fast life. A quiet place, friendly employees, free-to-use games, books selling, food is good and the prices are amazing.
