Absolutely the best pub / boutique hotel in the Marlow and Henley area. The food is delicious, the duck confit was one of the nicest I have eaten. Having stayed a few times now it’s lovely to see new dishes on the menu to choose from. The bedrooms are quirky, beautifully clean and the beds really comfy! The pub is extremely well presented, has a lovely log fire to sit in front of and a nice selection of drinks to choose from. Mike and his team are very welcoming, super friendly and look after you really well! Which makes a pleasant change, as it is so often forgotten. A perfect place to stay when traveling on business or for a little break away! Wish it was my local! Looking forward to seeing the Christmas decorations up and a glass of mulled wine!

What an absolute gem. I've been staying locally whilst on business and decided to try this place due to the positive reviews, and I was not disappointed. Atheistically, it's great inside and out, and the parking is decent. The only downside is that it's a destination visit that needs to be driven. That said, I wish I had found it earlier in my trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the food was decent, and the prices were fair. I would absolutely visit again if I am back down this way. It's the best pub/restaurant I have been to in Marlow.

Didn't stay in room, so unable to comment on them, but the bar was very welcoming after a dog walk. We didn't eat either, but the menu offered a wide variety, and the smells and food coming from the kitchen were certainly appetising.

We decided to visit The Dog & Badger as we were staying locally, and we were not disappointed! The chicken and leek pie was brilliant, as was the entirety of what we had.

Service was excellent also.

We intend to come back to the area just to visit D&B again!

Phenomenal roast. I love pubs that pay proper attention to all the veg, not just the meat. No boiled broccoli in sight here, everything on that plate was delicious, including the gravy. Will definitely be coming back!

Great find close to our hotel, delicious seasonal menu with allergen options. We throughly enjoyed our dinner, fantastic service and the setting is special, dating back to 1390. Highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of having a late lunch here today and I thought it was wonderful at a fair price. I had the steak & Stilton pie and I will definitely return in the near future for more. The service was great, especially a gentleman named Mike. I highly recommend a visit to this cosy historical venue, est circa 1390!

Sunday Lunch with the family a couple of weeks ago. Lovely atmosphere in this traditional English country pub, which has been tastefully extended and modernised to a high standard. It is easy to get to, being in between Marlow and Henley, and has a reasonably-sized car park adjoining.

The meal was very good - I had the lamb, which was served with probably the tastiest gravy I have had anywhere. My daughter and I then shared a pudding (sticky toffee), which was also very good, and of a substantial size.

The staff were charming and attentive, and the general ambience was friendly and cosy, and not too busy-feeling at the time we visited (pre-booked Sunday Lunch). Extra marks for the excellent 80s to 00s playlist. Would definitely revisit!

Had family meet up at this lovely pub. Food was really flavourful and good sized portions. Staff were exceptionally considerate. Lovely building also.

We didn’t stay but the just came for dinner for some reason google won’t let me review that bit. But if you’ve made it this far the food is blummin lovely! The decor of the venue is beautiful the staff are lovely the whole place is truly amazing. Cannot recommend enough!

I can honestly say that this is the best pub i’ve ever been to! The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind and friendly. Both the interior and exterior of the building is very aesthetically pleasing. And the meal! The meal was absolutely delicious. I had a chicken and leek pie and I can definitely say it is the best pie I’ve ever had. The rest of my family agrees that their meals were delicious and definitely up there with the best they’ve ever had. Such a lovely find. Would definitely recommend.

We are staying in the local area and had an excellent meal here this evening, a fantastic choice for gluten free, the presentation was first class and the staff were very polite and attentive .

A treat for my wife’s birthday ! From the moment we stepped in we were made to feel welcome. Beer was great food was great the accommodation was great the service was outstanding . We will be back when we visit the area again

we stayed in this hotel and I can say that everything is superlative, the room was clean and equipped with everything we needed, the welcoming staff from the first moment we arrived, I felt like we were part of the family and we had the great pleasure of eating in a relaxing atmosphere and with a quiet atmosphere exactly what we needed after a long journey, I definitely recommend this little corner of heaven and we will return with pleasure and love

Treated to a night here and so happy that I was. Received a warm welcome and easy check in. Our room was amazing plus clean and very comfortable. We didn't eat here but the open kitchen looked fabulous. Friendly staff and lovely premises. Nothing to dislike. I'd definitely return. A real gem of a place.

This place was a delightful 'find'. We dined here as a family because places in Marlow were busy. The food was delicious and the service excellent. It was so good that we returned for Sunday lunch... which was also outstanding. Everything was perfectly cooked.

Just popped in for a drink and snacks….exceptional service from the most courteous staff that I have come across in years!
Lovely food, served professionally and promptly….. would highly recommend and will most certainly visit again when we’re in the area. 5*
