It was absolutely lovely from the second my family and myself entered we felt admired service is the best I've ever had always thanking you and being as kind and friendly as ever and offering to help in any way. The food was also amazing and I will certainly be going back many times in the future. It is in an amazing area with plenty of walks to do before or after getting some lovely food 😋. Would advice going!

This is a fantastic location. Loved the cottage I stayed in and after a long commute from London Heathrow the staff were fabulous. Theresa met me for breakfast and hospitality was above and beyond and had a great breakfast looking to stay again.

Fantastic evening meal experience as part of the Old Luxters Vineyard Tour package. Lovely food and a great atmosphere in this idyllic cosy country pub. Would definitely recommend!

Came to stay for a night with my other half. Lovely experience. Kind and warm staff and a cosy bar and restaurant area serving lovely food and beer.

Bed very comfortable in a lovely room with a decent bathroom.

Very friendly staff an nice rooms in a very old building. Breakfast was very good with generous portions. Evening meal choices covered a range of options and food was good. Wider choice than average of wine on offer for a pub, some good options available.

Charming, friendly pub in a lovely village. Delicious food (the house-made sausages were particularly excellent). Very comfortable rooms. Just a 40 pound Uber ride from Reading.

Beautiful countryside pub with real home made food and autentic pub. If i can suggest something, all food is missing salt. Otherwise, everything is amazing. Even if salt is my nr 1 ingredient, im not going to remove any star as I have been impressed for the service autenticty. Please run away from high street chanes and support local independent bussnis. 🙏

The staff were very friendly including their lovely spaniel! I only stopped for breakfast. The sausage butty was really nice with excellent quality sausages and grilled roll. Sofa comfy, decor and general ambience - great. The toilets were also stunning. The village is stunning and the area picturesque. I really enjoyed a bike ride the day before.

Set in a great village and with good outdoor space and cosy bar this is a cracking good pub and eatery in our book. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

We didn't stay at the Hotel, and so I rated the rooms on the same basis as my overall rating.

The service here is very good and the food excellent. It is a great place to stop off for lunch after doing a circular walk in the area, of which there are many.

The car park is free for customers but only for 2 hours and you need to pop into the hotel. We just paid £4.00 for 6 hours parking to cover our walk and lunch.

My family and I visited for dinner at the weekend, the service and ambience was very welcoming. The food was delicious, particularly witnessing my sons enjoyment of his of his baked cookie dough and ice cream dessert. Dogs are welcome and treats bags can be purchased. Even though we're not local, we'll definitely make sure to return.

Came here for dinner whilst staying at Old Luxters. The food was delicious and ample, with generous sized starters and a huge serving of gnocchi pasta for a main. The desserts were divine. Service was pretty good throughout - nothing to complain about. The chef would check in to ask how the food was going down too and because we arrived as a group, our food was brought out at the same time.

The place itself had a relaxed feel to it, with a mix of families, couples, and groups of friends out for the night.

A beautiful place in a charming location. All the members of staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. Our room had the most comfortable bed and the cleanliness was spot on. An honourable mention goes to the kitchen staff as the food was as delicious as some of the finest restaurants in London. Highly recommended if you want to escape London for a weekend.

I went for lunch in the restaurant and had the most delicious meal of sausages and mash with vegetables and gravy. It was an amazing meal with tasty sausages and the vegetables were fantastic. My sister-in-law had their soup of the day and she said that it was very tasty as well. Compliments to the chef.
