Came up here for a boxing day cycle to blow away the cobwebs and get rid of the festive "stir crazy" feeling being indoors for days.

Am still grinning. Such a lovely spot to cycle to. Great views, had a bit of low winter sun and the hills were invigorating to climb.

Lovely spot, quite close to home too. Really don't know why I don't come here more often!

I visited here in June 2022 as part of walking the London Loop route around London. This was a very picturesque area to explore but does include some slightly steep slopes.

Beautiful area, nice footpaths with charming autumn colours and easy hills to walk around and get ride of the noise and the pollution of the main city. Not for everyone as some paths might be slippery and muddy, but a place to enjoy, chill and pop up for fresh air and nice surrounding.

A beautiful and peaceful walk through some of Surreys countryside. There's lots of parking near the Saxon burial grounds and quite a bit of historical information nearby to keep you busy. There are lots of places to stop and have a picnic too.

Fabulous place for walking your dog. Lots and lots of space, hills to climb and no car noises at all, just the sounds of nature. If you go off the paths into surrounding woods there are very old yew trees, worth finding! An oasis of calm.

A wonderful, peaceful part of nature. Most times you are alone to see little rabbits, hear tweeting birds, see wild flowers, smell the vegetation.

Amazing countryside space right through middle of built up suburbia. Red kites, nightingales and Skylarks can be seen along with British orchids

Not many parks have so many different routes to discover and enjoy, and then you can connect those with Farthing Downs, Coulsdon Common and more green space than you can shake a stick at. Occasional horseriders or grazing animals but dogs can run free if they've got good recall!

This place is on my doorstep and there are acres of green land to walk around. Some good walking trails in the woods and plenty of wildlife to hear and see. If you're lucky you'll get to see the dear, kites, buzzards and pheasants. Can get muddy in places in the winter but it's a joy to walk around.

Brilliant place for a long dog walk. Open spaces and wooded areas.
Never seems particularly busy either so it's really peaceful.
Not any actual paths to speak of so not one if you're unsteady on your feet but if you're looking for a little bit of adventure it's a lovely place to go.

Fantastic vast open space to walk dogs and allow children to run & chase each other safely with an adult supervising. An area of natural beauty surrounded with a priceless history. Beautiful. Parking charges exist, phone app is available Ringo.

A beautiful place to walk and enjoy nature, the qr codes along the way were so interesting and helped us appreciate the wonders of creation even more. Dotty dog was very happy too. 🐾🐾🦋🪻🌿

Lovely walk for all fitness levels, we took our baby in a carrier and walked from the happy valley car park to the Fox pub which is a couple of km with varied routes.

Lovely mix of woodland and open spaces. Some parts are very hilly. Stunning views and a beautiful area to spend a couple of hours walking. Can get very busy at weekends ona sunny day, but once you've away from the main routes it's not hard to find some solitude if that's what you are looking for. Very popular for dog walkers so do sometimes have to play dodge the poo, despite their being dog waste bins dotted around. From here you can walk easily to Farthing Downs or Coulsdon Common to extend your walk.
