Can't even begin to describe how just how good it was, it has to be some of the nicest cake I've ever had and we're both trying to think of an excuse to order another one. It was just sooooo good! Andrea has just designed the most fabulous cake for my mums 80th birthday - it is absolutely gorgeous, she is a creative genius!! It was really easy to work with Andrea, shared some ideas for the design and colour scheme, and she came up with the concept and kept me posted during the ‘cake make’ so I could see the progress. Also, I really liked that there are different flavour options for the cake. My mum just adored the cake (and didn’t want to cut it!), as did all her friends. I cant even put into words how amazing everything about this cake was. Andrea very kindly booked me in with only a few weeks notice and created exactly what I asked for. The cake itself was chocolate fudge and honestly it was the nicest cake we had all ever tried. Not one slice was wasted. 100% recommend for fast response, skill, taste and communication. Will definitely be returning.

My daughter is studying at University in Ormskirk and I am in Florida. I wanted to send her some cakes for her birthday. I contacted Thoroughly Good Cakes about this and Andrea made it happen. The communication was excellent and the process went smoothly. We coordinated delivery to my daughter and the package was adorable. I couldn’t be more pleased with this bakery!

Andrea is amazing. A special licence to Marry quickly was granted on 23rd December 2021 and the wedding arranged for 5th January 2022. Andrea did not dismiss us but offered to make us a wedding cake as long as it wasn't extremely fancy (due to time restraints). We gave her a basic wedding cake design, nothing fancy just ribbons and a bride and groom on top. Andrea excelled and designed a cake we could only dream of in this short time. She wasn't happy with our basic design and felt she had time to offer more. Her ideas were beautiful and we left it in her hands, due to the reviews and her experience. Not only did it look amazing, it brought tears to the bride and groom's eyes, and received continuous compliments. Now the cake has been cut and delivered, we are getting exceptional compliments regarding tastes, moisture and flavouring. Having just had our pieces, I totally agree. We have our Silver wedding anniversary this year and also our granddaughter's christening. Both cakes will be from Andrea. Thoroughlygood and 100% recommended.

Andrea made me the most wonderful! Birthday Cake. Following a recommendation we contacted her, with not a lot of notice it must be said and despite a busy schedule she has more than risen to it! We asked her to create it with my favourite pottery in mind, so it was very specific. The result couldn’t have been better. Absolutely perfect! It was a massive success, much admired by the family at our gathering for a family celebration, and it is also really delicious, so so pleased, very glad indeed we asked her do this for us . If you need to surprise someone special during quarantine, Andrea is your woman. I was blown away by her standards, creativity and ability to create the cake I wanted. This will be an amazing surprise for my mum who is in a nursing home. And the residence also received these amazing biscuits from Andrea as part of her awesome initiative to thank key workers during COVID-19. Amazing Cake, amazing lady!

What an amazing cake Andrea made for my husband's 60th birthday! Terry thought it was fantastic. He says it is a work of art - and he should know! I just gave Andrea a theme and a few photos and off she went. It went down a storm at the party..... and tasted great too!
