Went to see Sophia at MH Hearing for hearing test, I started out nervous but she made feel very relaxed, the hearing test was very thorough and professional and within 48 hours I was fitted with hearing aids. From the very start Sophia explained everything and her after care plan makes me feel at ease.

Hi, we used MH Hearing care after school reported concerns with our son’s hearing. Sophia was able to see him very quickly, saving us a long waiting time with the NHS. She was great and understanding with our son and conducted the tests in a calm, pleasant environment. She made sure she had age-appropriate toys and explained what he needed to do and put him at ease. She gave us immediate feedback on the mild hearing loss our son has & produced a detailed report very quickly that we were able to share with school and the NHS. The whole process was very smooth, and we are indebted to her as her recommendations are being put in place by teachers. We were so pleased with the experience we bought our other two sons to see her - thankfully no problems!

Sophia was absolutely amazing! I suffer with serious medical conditions and as a result found the wax removal, at times, unbearably painful. She was compassionate toward me and very patient, as she had to stop several times and wait for me to finish crying before continuing. I am fully aware of how intensely sensitive my ears and body are and was dreading the consultation. I don't know that I would have been able to finish the treatment if she hadn't been so kind and understanding. Thank you Sophia!

Sophia carried out a very thorough assessment of my 15 year old daughter. She was very professional puting her at ease and she explained each assessment and the results as she went along. Not only did she put our minds at ease but also went to the trouble of finding out where we could get further help with my daughter's particular problem. In addition she was constantly sanitising her hands and ensured she used disposable covers on all the equipment used. Our appointment was at 12pm and I received a full report via email cc'd to our GP the same day.

Sophia did a great job clearing my elderly mothers ears ! My Mum is 88 and has narrow ear canals and also wears hearing aids. As time has gone on she has been a bit forgetful in getting her ears cleaned so we had a bit of a backlog of wax to deal with ! Sophia was great with my Mum, she visited at Mum's flat and put her at ease throughout. Sophia's perseverance paid off and Mum's hearing is much better now. Would highly recommend Sophia.

Very welcoming. Couldn't have gone to a better person to be honest, Sophia made my son feel comfortable and knew exactly how to work with him to get results. Going back for a follow up in a few months! Thankyou!

Sophia done a great job with ear wax removal on both my ears. My left ear was extremely blocked and I had very little hearing as a result. Sophia was very patient in removing the ear wax using a variety of specialist tools.

I recently had a hearing assessment with Sophia, and I have to say that I was very impressed with the whole experience and Sophia's professionalism. She was very thorough and explained exactly what she was going to do at each stage. I can highly recommend her, and I will certainly go back to her in the future.

I took my elderly mother to see Sophia, the audiologist, after she was unhappy with her NHS-provided hearing aid. Sophia carried out a full hearing check and re-cast the mould of my mother's hearing aid. It was a much better fit and far more comfortable than the NHS mould. Sophia is very friendly and helpful and clearly knows her stuff.

We intend to use M H Hearingcare in future, rather than an NHS Audiologist. Much better results.

Sophia was very professional and explained simply what the different tests were as well as what the results meant. I'll happily book again and would highly recommend.

Fantastic service. Talked me through each step, was extremely thorough and knowledgeable.

I had booked two weeks in advanced of my sons scheduled appointment using MH Hearingcare's website for my son to have his ear wax removed. The website was easy enough to use and booking was quite straight forward. After booking I hadn't heard from Sophia until I chased and called her in the final week. Only then did she send further forms that I needed to complete prior to the appointment.

I was surprised to hear that her practice is actually at her home which meant only 2 people could attend the appointment (no waiting room) and my Wife and other son would have to sit in the car. Taking over an hour to reach her practice/house, be aware parking is limited there. Upon arrival, Sophia was polite, friendly and welcoming. After carrying out an inspection for my son and trying to remove his ear wax, she was unable to remove all the ear wax because it was too hard and flaky. The appointment was unsuccessful and I was advised to apply olive oil drops for two weeks and come back again.

This was extremely frustrating as she could have advised of this prior to the appointment, sadly it felt like a wasted trip and poor communication. We had to rebook another appointment, queried if there was going to be an additional charge and thankfully there wasn't. After applying the olive oil for two weeks and going back, Sophia was able to remove the wax using the ear vacuum machine.

I also asked to have my ears inspected which cost £30 and was over in 10 seconds. Sophia used a camera connected to her laptop to check if my ears were blocked and they were fine.
Perhaps a visit to the doctors (NHS) would be more beneficial to understand if you ears are blocked in the first instance.

We we're disappointed with the wasted trip and poor communication, overall I would advise of searching for a local practice first and as a last resort visit MH Hearingcare

Simple removal of earwax pricedural. Unfortunately my son is left with even worse hearing and not even a 5 min appointment to check it out to put his mind at ease. Shocking lack of care and customer service. Encourage everyone to check more thoroughly.

Shambolic from start to finish.

Arrived at the clinic- to find it’s in a particularly run down home, the doorway boarded up. Rubbish and household waste piled against the side of the house… we should have run whilst we had the chance. Greeted by Sophia in her dirty scrubs that were too tight, flesh on show at the waist.

The appointment lasted just 15 minutes for a tidy sum of £150 requested as a cash payment only. During the appointment, Sophia did not discuss each test she was doing or explain what it was for. The whole appointment was very awkward and seemingly like Sophia had no idea how to communicate with patients and parents. Sophia clearly couldn’t finish the appointment quickly enough and was not interested to discuss what steps we should take next to help my 8 year old son.

When questioned about the timing of the appointment, Sophia said it can take 15 minutes but can take 45 minutes yet the charge for this is the same regardless.

After being promised the assessment report to be delivered the same day, we had to wait a week. Having requested this several times and continually being told we’d receive it by X and then failing to receive this. When we did receive the report, it was inadequate and jumped from the first and third person. Sophia had said she would send Thomas’ report to his other medical persons however has now decided (presumably because she doesn’t like my complaint) that we are to send Thomas’ assessment report.

When dealing with our complaints, Sophia was unable to reply in a professional manner and is extremely rude. I have asked Sophia to kindly forward me how to find her on HCPC and BAA as we have been unable to find her. She has been unable to answer this question and we are now seeking advice as to who we can take our complaint to.

I wouldn’t recommend MH hearingcare to anyone- they take total advantage of children with disabilities and I am frankly disgusted by Sophia’s appalling service. High fees are charged to visit a disgusting setting with shockingly poor customer service skills.
