I was visiting the area and wanted somewhere cheap to rest my head. I found this place through booking.com, I wasn’t impressed with the reviews but I was totally shocked. Jemma is a fabulous and welcoming host, she really made me feel welcome and at home. My room was basic but warm, clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom facilities were about 10 steps away and were again clean and warm. I spent my evenings reading with my feet up in the lounge with a glass of wine. The children on site are helpful, engaging and polite. They too are welcoming and respectful as well as being entertaining (especially the youngest)
I have not stopped telling people about this unique gem of a place. I am returning In august for a relaxing weekend in the sunshine (I hope) I have been to 5* spas and not come away feeling this way and all for £30 a night. Can’t recommend enough

This one of best places I have been. It's simple and basic but that makes it the perfect setting for life changing experiences. I attended a 1 week retreat that was absolutely incredible. I met incredible people that I feel will be life long friends and that's including the couple, Jemma and Dean, that run the place. They are so welcoming, kind and loving. The food and surroundings are unforgettable. Thank you so much 🙏❤

Very friendly staff /guests and clean premises, a few pubs and walking trails nearby, ask for info. A lot of rooms have front and back doors with keys provided, adequate central heating. Wifi, free parking and other activities available too. Wish we could have stayed longer. I can only say good things about this location.

Lovely spot. Located on the edge of Abercraf within a 10 minutes walk of the village centre and a good pub (Abercraf Inn).
The new managers (Gemma and Dean) and their family are extremely welcoming, very friendly, and made me feel like I was at a home away from home.
Accommodation is good, room I had was clean, with everything I needed and spacious with a door that opened out onto sunny forecourt with seating outside.
I'd opted for shared bathroom. The female bathroom although basic was clean, showers were hot and perfectly adequate for what I needed/wanted.
Outside is pretty, with a hint of wildness to it. There's a nice short walk up behind the property to a small lake surrounded by some beautiful trees, a very peaceful spot. Breakfast was continental style with good selection of cereal, toast and crumpets as well as fruit salad for a reasonable £5.50 (September 2019) the set up is very relaxed with small dining area next to a lounge and wonderful fireplace/log burner.
If you want a simple yet homely place to stay, that's peaceful and with good access to local amenities, walks, cycle routes and other sights all for a reasonable price then stay here.

Beautiful, stunning location. Gemma and Dean were the perfect hosts. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We only spent one night there and due to Covid rules we were unable to sample their infamous continental breakfast, but Gemma highly recommended The Hub in the village and wow! It was lush! Can't wait to come back here again. Could not fault our stay there at all. Thank you

Went as a group of blokes to stay here as we were going to Walter's arena. Fantastic place for us. Great welcome! 24 hour tea. Parking for trucks and trailers. Good breakfast. Thanks Jem!

Not what we were expecting it's much better, very peaceful, excellent facilities clean and welcoming. I called directly to ask a couple of questions and was greeted with a very pleasant and friendly person who answered my questions and went the extra mile to ensure I was offered better than my expectation. I'll be returning in the future as they offer much more than just accommodation 😁

I only stumbled across this location well outside of opening hours. Looking at their website they put on plenty of activities for the community and for people of all different ages to get involved in. But even late into the evening, the surroundings of this place are beautiful with circle seating areas and beautiful trees all set around a stream.
