Glynneath Library

As a regular visitor to Glynneath Library, I am continually impressed by attentive service provided by the staff. Rhyannon always goes the extra mile and with a smile on her face.

The library consistently updates its collection with new books for children - we’ve visited regularly for nearly 6 years and always found something new.

Events are always carefully planned and delivery tailored to meet the needs of all, making it a really welcoming and inclusive place.

The variety of activities, including craft sessions, Lego club, and board games, cater to diverse interests and age groups.

This library is more than just a place to borrow books; I highly recommend for those looking for an extra special library experience.

A fantastic library. Everyone is extremely helpful and welcoming. I have been coming since having my two children (age 5&1 now) there are amazing baby groups, all different activities that range for all ages, movie days for the family, all are engaging and so good for the community. I am extremely grateful to have somewhere so close to home to go to firstly get plenty of books for them to help their development as well as join in with all the engaging activities. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I can't recommend this library enough. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. We have spent a lot of time here with my youngest child and with the groups such as song and rhyme and events like movie screenings it is the perfect cosy place to entertain children for a while. We are so lucky to have it in Glynneath. With their selection of board games I have even managed to entertain a teenager here for a morning!

Having the library is such a blessing, especially on rainy days with two toddlers to entertain. The staff are so friendly and helpful, there is a large children's area, I'd say about a third of the whole library with little comfy chairs and a mini sofa, great for reading books on. I was impressed with the teen and pre teen bit as well, I got my niece some books they have a great teen mental health section.

Everything is easy to find and if you can't find it then girls will try and order it in for you, I'm rubbish at remembering when things are due back but I get handy little emails a few days before.

Also I love borrow box the online library from the library as with two kiddos I don't always get to sit down and read a book but I can just pop on there and usually they have it in audiobook format that you can borrow and enjoy.

Honestly I can't praise the library enough, the activities they do like song and rhyme and movies, Lego club, games and craft days. The girls really put their all into creating a welcoming and safe space. Many a time I just pop in for a chat while the kids play connect four or puzzles. It just gives me a breather and allows them to quietly let off some steam in an enriching environment. I've also done loads of printing and scanning there I don't need to do it often and it's really reasonably priced.

I've been using the library for a good number of years now especially with my 2 kids with both playgroups. They always have loads on suitable for all age groups and give plenty of notice of events. Everyone is so helpful. 😁

What a wonderful place to go. As library's go its friendly and welcoming. If they don’t have the book your looking for they normally have it within a day or two for you to pick up. Staf are knowledgeable and really approachable. Wanting to help you and make your experience pleasant.

I needed somewhere to sit and work whilst my Son was assisting with some local filming. I was very much welcomed to use the facilities and spend as much time there as I needed. It was a very welcoming atmosphere and the two librarians (sorry forgot their names) were truly lovely and I could have quite happily stopped my work just to chat to them. They made me very welcome and I really enjoyed hearing about their amazing community spirit. It is a shame I don't live there, if I did I would be a regular visitor. Thank you for making me feel so welcome. Anyone visiting the area I would definitely advise you to pop in, even if just for a chat. :-)

Excellent local library. Very clean and extremely well maintained with an excellent selection of books. Friendly and very helpful staff providing an excellent local service.
