Beautiful spot for camping. Stayed one night in our van with a tent. Beautiful shower/toilet with heated floor and towel rail, both in one room so of someone's in there you have to wait, but they did say they were building a second. Surrounded by lovely, friendly animals too! Option to order freshly made pizzas, which we didn't try but a nice option to have after a long day hiking etc.

The most beautiful farm stay!
Hosts were friendly, animals were also friendly! We had a welcome package with fresh eggs - this was a lovely tough. Just to note the croissants were quite out of date on the package but this didn’t bother us.

The toilet and shower were heated which was brilliant as we were slightly worried about not having one in our room however it worked out great.

The hot tub was also a lovely touch and was ready on arrival.

Just to note for people staying on a Sunday, the pubs close for food very early (3/4pm) so bare this in mind.

Beautiful surroundings and cosy lodge (Sleeping Giant Lodge). Nice little touch of the Bucks Fizz and eggs etc. Bathroom was well heated although a short walk from lodge. Bed was super comfy and fire was lovely once going. Only nit pick would be that the hot tub could do with some shelter as we got rained on in there.

Stayed a night in the 'Hut on the Hill' Airbnb. Cannot recommend it enough. The location is spectacular, the hut/wagon is well stocked with all sorts to help you enjoy your stay including a little welcome pack, the bed was comfy and of course the hot tub was also very welcome!

Great weekend away with the family. Owners were lovely and brought the Alpacas to us to see before their walk. Lovely cafe with great pizzas and waffles on site. Stunning views, you wouldn’t believe it was Swansea. Didn’t mind the wake up call from the chickens, they were so friendly coming up to our teepee. Definitely recommend.
No plugs for a hair dryer but the weather was on our side to air dry it quickly. Shower/toilet facilities were the best we’ve seen, very clean and maintained.

A fabulous stay at Cae Glas Camping. We were in the Cwtch Tent which was delightful inside with beds and bedding provided for four. The facilities are great to have access to given some campsites don't, they were clean and plenty of bin space is provided for anything required. The views are what sell the place truly, outstanding in any direction. There is chickens, sheep, alpacas and two extremely friendly and playful sheepdogs on the campsite too which give it a unique feel. We hired a firepit with wood for £10 which made our night that little bit better. We spoke to the owners daughters who were very helpful. I'd highly recommend anyone stay here.

Awesome stay here - the views were amazing and the campsite was exactly what we were after; great location and facilities with a personal touch. The hosts were lovely and went above and beyond with our breakfast order even delivered to our van. Would definitely stay here again!

Thank you for a lovely stay. Our welcome was warm and helpful and we took full advantage of the excellent food service with delicious, freshly made and piping hot pizzas delivered straight to our van door! Clean, hot and comfortable shower with a new shower block on the way.
Thank you for your hospitality and help with our van the following morning (Black T5). Highly recommend this friendly site and when we come back to the Brecon Beacons we will look forward to a second stay. Hopefully I will have more time to spend with your lovely alpacas when we do x

Brilliant stay here! Hosts were so kind and accommodating! Food was amazing and veiws were stunning. Gorgeous country side, quiet and secluded but close to local attractions. Very back to nature. Could possibly do with one more toilet and shower room but the people and beautiful surroundings more than made up for it. Fantastic value for money, would absolutely go again!

What an unbelievable campsite to stay at. 3 of us bikers rode up from Hampshire to ride the ystradgynlais loop. Pitched our tents here for 2 nights. Location and views are phenomenal. Mel and Aaron were lovely hosts. Had breakfast and evening meals throughout our stay. Well worth hiring the firepit for the weekend. Great value all round. Just returned home and want to go back already. A must stay place if you want to ride the fantastic roads that are on offer here. Thanks so much to Mel and Aaron for letting us be there.
Will be back very soon.

TL;DR Best camp site I've ever been to. Easy, clean, gorgeous, and fantastic hosts.

Getting to the campsite will be the hardest task, but so so worth it. The winding steep drive all the way up to the farm itself is a task, don't come in an AYGO/C1 unless you know how to drive it. Once you get there you stop outside the most gorgeous farm house ever and phone the host.

They will pop out and give you the rundown of how the site works and how to best enjoy your time there. Drive around the back of the house and into a lush open field of grass (soft and clean enough to walk barefoot, and you can pitch wherever you like with regards to the other guests)

There are chickens, cows, sheep, and even bees in the area, and the view is just extraordinary. All animals are separate from the camping field.

There is a cabin plus hot tub for hire, or two tepee style tents available if you don't fancy lugging your own equipment around.

There are simple menu items such as a cooked pizza, waffles etc available. If you can't get your fire started (our excuse is it was too windy ;) ) then definitely take the host up on their affordable, hot, and delicious food offered.

The shower/toilet cubicle is set just far enough to not get any unpleasant smells or sights, but close enough it's super easy to get to. The taps are REALLY hot so please be careful.

Shower is clean, spacious and warm, meaning you aren't scared to commit to getting grubby and fully enjoying the campsite.

The host is gracious, polite, and quick to respond meaning when we had to leave early due to an emergency we were able to ask the best way to do so and be gone within ten minutes.

My only upset is that we couldn't stay longer, watching a sunrise from this campsite would be a wonderful experience.

A wonderful place to stay! We stayed in the Shepherd's hut and had a great time. The facilities are great and there's lots to explore in the local area. We even ordered pizza and waffles from the campsite which were tasty and reasonably priced. Will definitely return!

I stayed three nights camping with my own tent. As other reviewers have mentioned, the field is not on a level but there are plenty of reasonably flat places to pitch. The heated shower room/toilet was great, especially on a cold morning. Mel is a great host and could not do enough to help.

Just returned from a lovely 2 night weekend at the Sleeping Giant lodge. Unfortunately when we arrived it was chucking it down with rain and the views were covered in fog, but we got the log burner on so it was lovely and cozy and the hot tub was all ready for us. We ordered an afternoon tea for our arrival which was lovely and there was a bottle of Prosecco and Welsh cakes left for us too. The lodge itself was fully equipped with pretty much everything you’d need, plates, cutlery, kettle, tea, coffee, milk etc (but bring your own bottle opener as we couldn’t find one). There was also a cooler to keep drinks etc in. The bed was really comfy and the whole lodge looked immaculate and clean. Luckily the sun came out the next afternoon and we enjoyed the 4 waterfalls walk which was amazing but very tiring so it was great to have pizza and a dip in the hot tub under the stars back at the lodge. I’ve honestly never seen stars like we saw here, they were amazing and so bright! When we woke up the next morning to the bright sunshine we really got to appreciate the views around us. We had some chickens join us for breakfast and a sheep came to say hello to me on the way to the toilets (about a 2 minute walk from the lodge). There’s a farm down the road with friendly goats, ducks, cows and horses that we also got to say hello to. All in all we had a wonderful stay and I’d recommend it to anyone else considering the sleeping giant. Thanks to Melanie and Aaron. One last thing, I recommend the nearest pub to the lodge, I can’t remember it’s name but it’s a pub, restaurant and ZOO!! Although we didn’t eat there (fully booked on Saturday night and closed Sunday evening and Monday) the food looked amazing so I’d recommend booking in advance. Even if you don’t even go to the pub the little Zoo behind it is free entry and you can see Meercats and Wallabes (you can’t take your dog in though).

Really nice campsite, with great views from the camping field. The owners are really friendly and the café, which is open on weekends, is really handy. They made very nice home-made pizza :) I'd really recommend staying

Stayed with my daughter for 2 nights. Absolutely fantastic place, my daughter loved collecting the eggs, feeding the chickens and the sheep.

The couple that run it just couldn't do enough, super kind and nothing was too much.

I've already had a request for another visit from my daughter.

Lovely hosts, amazing views, well maintained campsite. Showers and facilities are clean and easy to use. Will definitely be going back. This campsite is close to the famous “Four Waterfalls Walk”, which I strongly recommend visiting if you stay here!

Just like the other reviews a great site. Mels lovely - the place had amazing views and really quiet. Nice to have a campfire and the facilities although minimal are great. This ones on my go to site next time I’m visiting Brecon. Due to the location a bit windy.
