One of the nicest UK beaches. When the tide is our the sand beach is just stunning. We caught some crabs on the line and little one even had a little swim. We even saw a seal.
Great place to take doggy for a walk too, lots of people had their dogs off the lead which was lovely.

No matter how many times we visit here there is always something different to see. Great for a day out with a picnic as there are plenty of places to sit. Take some of the little tracks off the main walk and see the wildlife.
We found a pond full of Marsh frogs.

What a delightful place to go for a walk, with good stopping places to watch the wildlife. Walks are varied so you can judge how far you wish to go. Paved paths excellent for wheelchairs, pushchairs and bicycles for little people. There is also a cafe. Car parking is free!

Absolutely beautiful place, I love going here with my son and taking in all the beautiful views and the nature. Its a great place for blackberry foraging and all the locals are very friendly and warm. It's not too far from amenities such as toilets, a co-op and a playpark and there's a bus stop nearby if like us you don't drive.

Love this place at any time of the year, so many birds to see, and the flora here is very different to what you will encounter elsewhere. So much open space that it is easy to get lost in your own world. A great place for a walk, and you can choose your own distance.

Extensive area, stretching from Winchelsea Beach to Rye Harbour and across to Camber Castle. There are many paths to walk on and observe the birds, and hides for close ups.
The area attracts many bird species, and is a magnet for ornithologists.
The area is controlled by the Sussex Wildlife Trust, and is also home to many species of wild flowers, and rare insects
Part of the site is deliberately flooded to recreate salt marsh, using water from the closeby River Rother.
There is a brand new visitor centre and a free car park at the village of Rye Harbour
A building on the access road is the old lifeboat house, from which the Mary Stanford lifeboat was launched in November 1928, never to return, all 17 crew were drowned. They are buried in Rye Harbour church.
Camber Castle is worth looking at, tours are arranged in summer months by the SW Trust.

Wild shingle habitat, with flat walking, cycling access...Birdlife is spectacular, but take binoculars. Historic lifeboat building is interesting.

Great place for a long walk from winchelsea beach to rye harbour. If you investigate the ruined cottage next to the old lifeboat station you should find a surprise but remember to put it back
