Holiday Inn Derby - Nottingham M1, JCT.25, an IHG Hotel

Thank you Chantal. I mentioned my dietary requirements and the very next morning you remembered them and sorted them out for me by the time I arrived to have my breakfast. Really appreciate it.

Beds are comfy, toilet is alright although mine has a bit of a "old socks" smell.
It's a very decent hotel though.

Food also surprised me. Tasty breakfasts and dinners.
Vegetarian options were tasty.

Arrived here around kitchen closing time after a long drive. Asked if could still get food at reception and directed to the restaurant. Ricardo and his colleague very kindly took a food order and had it sent to my room. They didn't have to take my order, but they gave me a few options for food and shortly after a decent hot meal was provided in my room. Well done to the kitchen staff for being kind and accommodating.

Had a really lovely recent stay.
The staff were very friendly and the room was clean.
Beds were comfy and had a good nights sleep.
We had a drink in the bar which was reasonable and ordered some snacks via room service (really easy to do, scan the QR Code in the room , order and pay via card or charge to room).
Only downside really if i had to be picky would be that the bathroom was very small, that said it did the job and the shower pressure was great.
Didnt have breakfast but if / when we stay again we would order breakfast.

We had an amazing stay this weekend. My wife and I stayed with our in-laws for a Spa weekend and chose the Holiday Inn as it was near to the Spa location. The rooms were very clean and the furniture in the lounge and restaurant were really comfortable. The food was lovely and you get a lot for your money. The buffet breakfast was also amazing with a great choice of hot and cold food. All of the staff were great and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Special praise for Serena (the hotel manager), Dion and Casey who were exceptional and always went the extra mile to provide quality service, in fact it's possibly the best customer service I've ever received at any hotel. On our return from the spa, we were greeted with a complimentary fruit platter and a coupon for drinks and snacks, it really made our stay complete and made us feel really welcome. We will definitely be returning again.

Great customer service from all staff. Cooked Breakfast was included for each morning, after each nights stay. Images of whats on offer for breakfast included. Purchased hotel through Alton Towers Holidays for staying three nights in hotel. Location of Hotel was around 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 to get to Alton Towers, depending on road closures.

Reception is through the main doors, turn left and 100 yards down on the left.

Parking seemed on even for my long based van. There were a few spaces to choose from, each time I went to park.

Very happy with my stay here. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were professional, courteous and very helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Some parts of the hotel are undergoing refurbishment but this did not impact on our stay at all. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Very old building near the motorway, great for breaking up a journey.

The breakfast is excellent, and the stag are better.

We were very happy with our stay, more than anything because of the exceptional service we received. We were greeted on arrival by Henry who was friendly and personable, allowed us to check in early (we were going to a wedding) and also moved our room so we were near our friends. Henry also upsold us to get breakfast the next morning which was actually of a very good quality (great bread!)

The building and the rooms are basic but very good for the price.

For the service and the price it absolutely beat anything we could have found elsewhere or on Airbnb

Great place, lovely clean rooms and obviously recently renewed. Kettle and coffee machine provided in the room plus toiletries. Also fridge in the room. Lovely and warm. Breakfast buffet style and the friendly staff will help you however they can including making you poached eggs. Thankyou to jay and Ellen. Would highly recommend visiting if in this area ideal place. Please be aware location is not near amenities so be prepared

We stayed Friday 25th November great service from reception staff especially from Kieron and Linda who could help us enough and even left my fiance a birthday note and a small gift thank you again

This was our second visit, and on our first visit, the room we were given was a small twin, and couldn't swing a cat in it. However, in this second visit, they gave a much larger twin, so my review will be based on this visit. Room was very good, spacious comfy beds. Staff very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good, with a good variety of food. I would recommend this hotel.

I didn't stay here but from what I saw, the place was clean and well maintained. The building is pretty dated but the inside is sound.

The reason for the review was for the service, it was excellent. I couldn't fault the reception service and I was very impressed.

We arrived late on 20/5/2018 to be greater by friendly staff. The room is big,clean, fully stocked.
Had dinner in the restaurant. Really good, like a step above hotel food. Dion was great, attentive and friendly.
Reception manager was helpful, gave us free toothpaste and chocolate bars (we're going to eat one and then erase the evidence with the other)
Highly recommended.

Had a great stay and this is most definitely the best Holiday Inn I had ever stayed at, due to the quality service and friendly staff: Mandy, Chantelle (forgive me if it is not spelled correctly), and Lil have all been fantabulous thank you!

We got married here at the end of June 2019 and Rupesh, Vicky and the team were all amazing.
We had plenty of communication with the venue prior to the wedding and Vicky couldn't do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble.

A week prior to the wedding we arranged to meet the chef and sample the food. Wow, is all I can say. It was truly amazing. On the day all guests commented on how amazing the food was. The chef a great job on the day and every meal was super hot and tasty. Plus a good size to make you feel like you had eaten but not too stuffed you couldn't eat the buffet later.

We stayed over the night prior to the wedding and night of the wedding. The ladies that prepared our bridal suite did a lovely job too. My friend stayed in a room with an interconnecting door so she could look after the kids for the evening for us which was fabulous as they felt very grown up having their own room.

The hotel were also very accommodating to Lily and Rose who arranged our flowers and dressed the wedding room for us. Again, nothing was too much trouble.

The area around the back of the hotel is a blank canvas so great for wedding photos.

The day we got married was the hottest day of the year so far and the fact the venue was fully air-conditioned was great.

The buffet breakfast went down a treat with the kids too.

Two comments for improvement would be 1) get the drive re surfaced as this is the first impression people have of the venue and 2) more bar staff in the evening to save guests waiting too long for drinks.

The staff are friendly and helpful. It is nice and clean here. The cat park has a barrier so you must remember to give your registration number to the recipient then it's good and free. In side is good clean and tidy and there is a bar which also does food. Nice place to stay and is just off the motorway so easy to find and to get to.

Me, My bridesmaids and some other family members stayed the night before and they were fantastic, friendly and so helpful, everything was set up, ready and waiting for my big day!

On the day, we couldnt have asked for better staff - the amount of our guests that commented on how brilliant the staff were was unbelievable! Everything was perfect and it was down to the staff!

Would totally recommend staying/having your wedding here, it was the best day!

And the the food was fantastic, many complements to the chefs!

After a long bank holiday weekend in legoland with my family we decided our drive home was becoming a bit tiresome and pulled into this holiday inn on the off chance that they may have a room for us. Not expecting much on a bank holiday weekend. It must have been about 9.15pm when we pulled in and by 9.30 we were in our double room with a sofa bed being made up by a member of staff. Young lady who brought our bedding was wonderful and had lots of suggestions for family days out in the area as we didn't need to rush home in the morning. Lady on reception couldn't do enough for us. Little gem. Rooms were clean and cozy. Lovely and quiet. We'll definitely use this place again when we next travel to London!
