Shaad Shomoy Rubery

I ate here last night with my family as a table of 10. We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated immediately. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough. 3 members of our party were late but the staff were only too happy to accommodate this. The food was amazing with my 4 year old even claiming that this was the best dinner she ever had.

We often struggle when taking our family out as our autistic son finds unfamiliar places and sounds distressing but the staff were amazing with him. They were patient and allowed him time to talk and express himself. He even ate all of his curry which was a real win in my book.

The staff were really accommodating to everything that we asked for and everyone enjoyed their meal. My children were asking for dessert and the chef made them a traditional Indian dessert which went down a treat.

We spent a good few hours having our meals in this restaurant and we weren’t rushed at all. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable night out. A true hidden gem in Rubery.

We will definitely be back.

I have been going to the same Indian takeaway for 25 yrs and I wanted a change. I read the reviews for Shaad Shomoy and gave them a call. I spoke to Naz the mgr who was very friendly and he said ‘you tell us what you want and we will make it for you’ . The food was excellent. I can’t wait to dine in. Thank you Naz to you and your chefs for the warm reception and great service / food.

We visited with our family and the food was delicious the staff were very accommodating and helpful. we was waited on hand and foot and the staff were amazing with the kids even our fussy 4 year old finished her butter chicken curry and said it was the best food she ever had we will definitely be returning

Ordered for the first time yesterday. Excellent prices. Had low expectations but service was friendly, food was hot and delicious and served in metal and cardboard top which is better for the environment. No delivery fee and without a minimum spend too which is unheard of. Will be ordering again.

One of the best Indian takeaways in the area! Staff is very friendly, order always comes right and hot! Ordered 3 times now, very delicious food. Good prices too. Highly recommend it 👌

Just had our first takeaway from Curry Fair. We were not disappointed.

The meal was delivered quickly. The portions were very generous. Best of all, the meals were great..!!

We had starters as well as mains, and it cost the same as our usual takeaway when we only order mains. So great value for great quality food.

Delivery was very fast and the man delivering was friendly and polite.

This place is my go to indian takeaway. Portions are great and the staff are extremely friendly. I made the mistake of not ordering a naan and they delivered one to my door free of charge i mean who does that. One of the friendliest peoole i have dealt with and there curries are 10/10

We have ordered from here a number of times and are never disappointed! Food is wonderful with a great menu selection which we are slowly working our way through!

Visited this restaurant for a work party. The food was delicious, everything was so fresh and flavoursome. The owner was great too, he went out of his way to make it the best experience especially since there was so many of us. Definitely will be coming back again for sure!

I went to this establishment with a friend who recommended it. Very nice food not watered down like have had from other places. Lovely environment to sit down in and food was served in very good time.

This really must be one of the best Indian restaurants in the country. While waiting for our table it was fascinating to see the love and care which the kitchen staff put into the preparation of the food. Don't forget to bring your own booze!
