My wife needed her bernina machine servicing as it had developed a few quirks (zig zag stitch when set to normal, broken pedal and not picking up thread). Staff are amazing machine like new again even pedal was repaired. Would recommend. Thank you.

This business is a great find for me and an asset for our area. When my 55 year old Bernina was pronounced unrepairable I tried Vivian more in hope than expectation. A week later he called to say it was fixed and was running smoothly and responsively. He had worked right through its mechanisms including the power supply: stripping, cleaning, adjusting, resetting, oiling and polishing. The machine now works beautifully. The cost was extremely reasonable. To be able to get classic old machines restored like this by a proper engineer is not something we can take for granted these days. Thank you, Vivian.

I visited the new setting machine repair store in Four Marks. Lovely staff and excellent service.
Delightful store that sells all things haberdashery with good and helpful service. A variety of courses are also run in the shop. I have recently done patchwork and quilting, two courses taught by an expert, that I thoroughly enjoyed. A list of course is available on their website, but you have to book early as they fill up very quickly.
When I first wrote this, I was impressed, particularly by Vivian who is a man full of sewing and sewing machine knowledge. I have since returned and found even more about his detailed knowledge. I would recommend him and his services to anyone who sews at home.

Julie and Viv run a friendly, welcoming sewing business that caters for so many craft needs. If they don't stock it (& they stock a lot), they'll order it in. Viv also does excellent sewing machine repairs and servicing on the premises. He resurrected my vintage Jones hand machine! I've bought Liberty prints to crafting fabric, embroidery silks and a new range of Adriafil knitting wool and they run a range of great sewing workshops for all abilities, again on the premises. It's good to know you're supporting a local business. Great people and a lovely shop.

It is fantastic to have a real shop with fabric and equipment you can actually see and touch! (Note that they also have online presence). The two owners are really helpful and encouraging. They've supplied some beautiful brightly coloured fabrics out of which I've made shorts for my son, and they encouraged him to come in and show them off, making him feel pretty special! Highly recommend this shop.

I bought my first overlocker online but hadn’t a clue how to use it. After fruitlessly attempting for hours earlier today to work it, I had to concede defeat, it wasn’t stitching properly & instruction manual & online tutorials didn’t help.
So I called Stitched by You & was amazed when I was welcomed to come in to the shop with my machine & owners couldn’t do enough to help.
I was given a lesson how to thread up the machine properly & shown how to use it. Clear explanation of what can be achieved with the know how & such great value.
I left the shop feeling motivated & started to make a raglan sweatshirt (Tilly & The Buttons). Almost completed it & it’s so quick to do with my overlocker-I’m in love🙂
Totally recommend this shop- owners professional & helpful, thank you both for the excellent guidance.

Popped into the shop for some advice.
Regarding embroidery machine. Was given some different machine needles too use. As the ones I was using kept breaking the thread.
The needles were perfect.. always so very helpful...
Thank you 😊
