Steve White: Science Tutor

My year 11 twin boys started Science tutor session with Steve 6 months ago and they got very confident on the subject, and the their result have been improved. Before learning from Steve, both of my boys were okay with understanding the topics but were not getting good enough scores back as they struggled sitting in a test. Steve helped them to comprehend the topics very well and be confident in exams.

My daughter (year 11) has been having sessions with Steve for a few months. She is not a confident science student but Steve is managing to bring out her confidence and more importantly the belief in herself. Her results in tests are improving each time they are taken. Steve is friendly, fun and takes interest in my daughters school life which all helps to engage her in his lessons. He listens to what she has been covering in school lessons and structures sessions to her needs. Biggest testament to Steve is that not once has she moaned about the online sessions!

My daughter reports that Steve is an “amazing tutor” and feels that the sessions have really helped with her understanding of chemistry. As a parent I find Steve to be very organised and structured in his approach which has made the process of organising and receiving tutoring very straightforward. Steve is a great tutor. My son is 'too relaxed' if you know what I mean, but Steve has been tutoring him for a number of months now and has struck up a good relationship that is showing in his performance at school. Steve provides notes of the sessions that they have each week and is always happy to have conversations to update us as to how he is doing - recommended!

Stephen is an amazing science tutor and has greatly increased my daughters confidence in the subjects, allowing her to get a better understanding of topics briefly covered at school.

We really like doing the lessons via Zoom as this cuts out travel times, and Stephens personalised class notes for each session are a bonus.

He has made a significant difference to our daughters confidence and enjoyment with the subject area. He is profession and has a lovely approachable rapport with his teaching style. Stephen is an excellent tutor. He explains subjects well and is fun and engaging. I have learnt a lot in a short amount of time and the lessons with him help me understand past science lessons at school and also help with my learning in the future.

We’ve been delighted with Stephen’s tutoring. I was sceptical about online before we started but it was effective from the very first lesson.
